Thanks, cneajna.... Just found one on e-bay for $15.00 and change. Most of the other cards range from $39.00 and up. Too much for me, anyway LOL! This one is 2GB and will work in the camera.
Also found an extra battery, charger and cord on e-bay...
Thanks again
Thanks, Bob and Bill! Your replies are a real help, for sure. Sounds like I might just go for it. It isn't very much in change to get the rest of the stuff I need. You guys have been a real help this morning. I may ask a few more questions at a later date, OK?
Thanks for the fast response to my question, TommiRulz ! Sure didn't expect any fast answers, for sure! I really appreciate the help...Will watch out for any more that may come along, ok?
Thanks again...
Has anyone ever tried an Olympus C-765 camera? Picked up one at my local Goodwill store yesterday. Only gave $7.50 for it and it has a battery, but no charger or no card. Wonder if it would behoove me to get the same. Found both on e-bay for a reasonable price. Just don't know if it would be worth it or not.
Also found a users manual on-line and downloaded it just in case. I would like to use it as a P/S camera, but don't know if it would be worth it or not. Any input would be appreciated, for sure.
It calls for a 64-512 MB sd card, but either one isn't really availabe except on e-bay, plus I don't know if a larger card would work or not.
Thanks to all
The OLYMPUS C-765 camera
I think that is a Confederate version of the Colt. It has a brass frame and not a steel one. I've got one that looks just like it. It's a .44 cal percussion revolver. Mine used a charge of about 40 grains of black powder and a .451 round ball. Just thought I'd mention it, OK?
Mine,s in a walnut case, too, and was bought over 50 years ago from Navy Arms. Still have it, but haven't shot in quite a few years.
hswader here..
BigDaddy, Don't know if they are hot or not, but if you want to get some that are REALLY HOT, try to find some GHOST PEPPERS. They have a schofeld(?)SU of over 1 millon units. Then there are some even hotter.
Look up scorpion peppers and see what they are rated..ok? Just thought I'd give you a 'headsup' on these peppers. I think both are available on-line, too.

Beautiful shot, hswader! What rich colors!
sailorsmom, that color was enhanced with a little pp help from Zoner Studios software, OK?
Thank you for your nice comment, though. Appreciate it.

This is my try at PP on a flower using Zoner Photo Studio 16x64. Hope it isn't too bad, ok?
Oop's put that in the wrong place, didn't I? Meant to put it here. Kinda new about this stuff

Congratulations on your decision! You are going to get all sorts of recommendations that may confuse you. I would encourage you to remain resolute in your decision. It isn't for the feint of heart, but once you get the ball rolling, and you see the difference you can make in your images, that will be encouragement enough.
I'm going to recommend Lightroom, for a number of reasons, but the number one reason is that there is tons and tons of instruction on the tool available from so many sources. Additionally, Adobe is in the business of providing these tools, and have been for many years. This isn't to say that the other tools are no good!! Many of them are very, very capable, but instruction just isn't as plentiful for them as it is for Lightroom.
My best recommendation is Lightroom and purchase a copy of the book "Adobe Lightroom Classroom in a Book". The book is very easy to follow, it's intuitive to read and most importantly, will have you productive in Lightroom in no time. Additionally, you can download and use Lightroom for free for 30 days.
Good luck in your endeavor!!
Congratulations on your decision! You are going to... (

hswader here, You might want to check out a PP program that I use now and then. It's called Zoner Photo Studio 16x64. I think it has a free version; at least, if not totally free. It seems pretty easy, but not hard to learn, ok? Just thought I'd jump in here. Sorry about that, ok?
Sorry, am a little late to send in a photo or two on the subject, but will try, ok. Am kinda new at this stuff. LOL
Will have to learn the names of some of these insects/bugs, huh? :D
A dragonfly
A mystery worm
Is this a stonefly?
How about a Polarid shot?
Another butterfly
Not sure just what it is,ok?
hswader here. Would like to post a couple of photos for this challenge, but am not sure about it. One, does the photo have to have been taken within the current time frame or could it be one taken a few days earlier? And two, how do I go about sending them in?
Would appreciate any help here. Thanx
[quote=hswader]They've been playing thCaliforniquoteCorrection,OK? I meant to say that 'sport has been played in Southern California for almost 50 years. I was living there in 1964 and it was being played on the beaches then. I didn't play, but have watched it several times. Just thought I'd try to mention that, ok? :-)

Am I wrong in thinking that sand soccer is an unusual and little known sport? I did not hear of it until just a few years ago but then I am from an inland area with no beaches or sand.
For the past couple years we have been attending the North America sand soccer championships in Virginia Beach. This is pretty much like 'regular' soccer except it is played in the sand, usually at the beach.
Here are a mere 4 photos from the many I took at yesterday's matches.
Yes, I know these are all from the women's matches but they seemed to say something.

Anybody got any ideas about how to make 3D still pictures?
asyncritus; (3dphotomaker.exe).Look it up on the web. It makes a pretty good 3d image from one photo. Have used it several times with decent results.
