B&H has a used EF 70-300 IS USM rated at 8+ for $210. I use mine on a 6D and a T2i. On the T2i it will give you the equivalent of 480 mm. Your 55-250 will reach to 400 mm. About a 20% increase in reach. This may not be enough, but the quality is much improved over the 55-250. Also this lens is much faster on focus and zoom capability.
I upgraded to the 6D several years ago to be able to shoot low light events. Still shooting it today. Kept my T2i, added a 24mm pancake lens and a wrist strap. Makes for a comfortable and lightweight street camera.
I started out shooting RAW+JPEG in order to have a comparison to process by. Over time 90% of the processed RAW files looked better than the SOOC JPEGs. I shoot RAW only now.
Turn the brightness down on your monitor. Then print some 4x6 test shots.
The holiday attire translates better in color.
I have posted hundreds of photos on Facebook. Mostly events, people, and rock bands. I have no expectations of them not being pirated. In fact, I often see my pictures on Facebook with other users. Most give some kind of acknowledgement or thanks. The way I look at it, pay me for my time and the pictures are free. This works for me, I don't expect it to for everyone.

Just reading the tittle I thought it was another ChrisT thread.
I thought the same thing.
I mount a 28mm 2.8 IS USM Canon on a T2i and use it as my street camera. Super sharp, IS is excellent, and being USM it is ultra fast on focus. Love it.
Crop in Lightroom to 5x7 , export as JPEG, 100% quality, and 300 ppi. Good to go at Walgreens.
Cameta Camera gives a 6 month warranty on all camera equipment. A great company to deal with.
I have purchased 2 lenses from resellers through Amazon. One qualified for Prime and the other had a $6.00 shipping fee. I will probably purchase more in the future.
I don't get any of those ads. You might want to go into your settings and make some adjustments.
We can guess who's who all we want, I just keep looking at the poor guy bringing up the rear.
