One more Ford or other video commercial that cannot be stopped and I am out of this discussion group.
These are obnoxious, irritating, and distracting. Half of the time the sound plays double and sounds like an echo chamber.
I understand the need for ads and certainly don't mind them appearing - without video and sound - but they should apply to photographers. Am I the only one who feels this way?

There shouldn't be any audio ads. Please try to take a screenshot of one of such ads and PM it to me.

I don't get any of those ads. You might want to go into your settings and make some adjustments.

I'm not seeing any of those (unstoppable, with video and sound). I do get some ads and I get that the site needs to generate some revenue, else it couldn't support itself, but none of the ones I get are annoying (heck, I frequently don't even realize they're there).

I agree that any video that autoplays, and produces sound is beyond obnoxious. There are plenty of ways to prevent these things playing or producing sound depending on how you access UHH. It's not really a UHH problem, just any website that gets funded through advertising.
I access UHH on a PC primarily and use Firefox as my browser. I use add blockers so I don't even see adds on UHH. I have set Firefox to not autoplay, and I keep sound turned off until I want it. On my iPhone I keep the sound turned down until I want it. It avoids disruptive intrusions, especially if other people are around, on any website.
Perhaps you could investigate similar approaches instead of giving up on UHH which is a very informative group.
