Oh my fellow Ohioan...ask more questions! Have the mom explain what she is really asking for...is it the pose...smile..etc!
But I have seen some amazing footage from a DSLR....especially with some good glass on the front!
You are right I used to shoot for PBS...so I know!...but as I said above its my daughter that wanted footage...so a few moments for isnt going to hurt.
I read that the Photoshop elements 10 Premier can only run on Windows 7......hmmmmm.....MORE SPEED...yes!!!
For everything else it seems to work fine... hmmm need to figure this out...since it does have all the Photography software on it..Photoshop5, Lightroom etc.....
Okay Santa...do your thing!!!!
Oh yeah... can you say Windows Vista....okay its not too bad.....I think...lol
I do notice on any software including Windows movie maker...the tracking seems zagged, not smooth.....even when the clip is downloaded into the harddrive...hmmm.....?
Thank you for all your input here...I will look into them!
Was wondering what some of the members are using to edit and view there footage on. Im not quite into the pro end of using my camera for video (yet). Suggestions welcome for "freeshare" as well as some that may cost. I have used the video feature on my camera only for my daughter, with her school functions, for fun.
Thanks!!!
We are al photo controll freaks....and RAW is one way to completely do just that. Post processing is the true way....unless your printing it right out of the camera or dont care on the details....then shoot jpeg!
The Nikon D7000 can shoot raw and convert to print, from the card!
Refurb'd from the factory.....with a warranty?....I do it with my lenses as well!!! why pay $489 for a lense when it can cost you $235.....
But using the word "normal" is not really in the vocabulary of a photographer thats selling there work. It all depends on what peaks the interest of the parents....of course pictures are number one (sometimes 5x7's they show better than 4x6)..but the digital age has its products too, cd slide shows as well.
CD's or a Brag Book may be of interest.
The Canon T2I...has a slower shutter lag time...your sports shoots will have to be timed...if not, you may be frustrated because you will miss the shot you really want to capture... also in bright sunlight if you were to use F2.8 lenses or higher (1.8 or 1.4), your fastest shutter speed I believe is 1/4000...your camera may over expose if you dont increase F-stop..... over all it is a decent camera...put some good glass on the front and be amazed. Canon 17-40 or 50mm
You are correct...not only do I do photography....but run a PhotoBooth business....I travel all over OH, IN, MI, PA and WV....the gigs I do with my booth its about 50/50...band-DJ....
I have noticed its about 50/50 as for DJ to Band in Toledo/Michigan area..... I have learned over the years you need to have multiple streams of income...either in what you shoot or related industries...or converting hobbies into professions.... isnt that how many started there band...gigging in the garage/basement or the photographer that just took pics for fun...I dont think anyone got up one morning and decided yup..."Im goin to get me a guitar or a camera and make money"!!!....Change....is good...diversity is even better!!!
