I gave one of these to my son at Christmas time and we played around with it a little. If you’re not in a big hurry and don’t have a lot of slides or negatives to do it’s kind of a fun toy. It actually produces a fairly good image but for $40.00 you shouldn’t take it too seriously.

I’m deaf but I think I can sympathize with the folks who are upset by the barking (my wife for one). But much of what’s been said here is true of Johnny. He alerts me with different barks and different looks and I would never try to change that. Usually a simple “s-h-h-h” will quiet him when necessary. You gotta love ‘em regardless.

Back when I used to do some fly fishing on the Merced River we would have to climb down a steep ravine to reach the best spots. After watching thieves break into the truck, and unable to climb out fast enough to stop them we started drafting one to stand guard while we went down to the river. Nothing quite so frustrating as watching someone make off with your stuff.

I was born in Plymouth, Indiana many years ago, but I don’t remember the Sears Roebuck store. My mom probably would though.
