Good thing I downloaded the second one or I would have probably missed the rock climbers. Great capture. Like you, I'll be watching from the ground and taking photos...rock climbing doesn't seem to fit well for my age group ☺
Great painting and a great photo. We love Maui. If you've never been, try getting a reservation at Warren and Annabelle's dinner/magic show. Probably the best entertainment on the island. Every trip to Maui, Warren and Annabelle's is on the list of "to do's". Enjoy your vacation and send more photos
I occasionally shoot my grandchildren's soccer games. Unless you walk up and down the sidelines, which I find difficult with so many spectators and players on the sideline that I usually set up as close as I can to mid-field without being in the way of others, put my 200-500 lens on with a tripod...it gets heavy after shooting for a bit. Granted you'll miss some shots that are too close to you, but you'll get some really good shots otherwise. Remember, it will probably be a sunny bright day so set your exposure and shoot away. My setup is usually ISO 200, an F stop somewhere around F8±, and keep my shutter speed around 1/640 to 1/800. That pretty much stops the action and I got some good shots. Good luck...don't get caught up trying to take every picture you'll miss the game as I did. When you see the action in your lens it is sometimes really fun to shoot a "blast" and then pick out the best action shot. Good luck, we look forward to seeing the results.
Great capture. When we travel to Hawaii late in the fall, we see double rainbows a lot. Did you notice the rainbow colors are opposite? One is blue, yellow, red and the other is red yellow blue. Thanks for sharing.
I love to cook and do most of the cooking main meal and my wife does the veggies and or salad. Just my thing. I received a pair of those glasses as a gift and use them every time I peel and cut onions. They work great.
Although I live in Southern California and have passed by the area many times driving (about 4 hours from my home) on my way up to visit relatives in San Jose, I never stopped looking for photo opts. I've had pretty good luck using a site called Photo Hot Spot. You just put in the city and the program will give the best places for sunset or the best sightseeing spot for landscape photos, etc. This might be a help to you. Here's the link:

Have a safe trip.
Interesting photo. Although I enjoy the photo, it just seems cold to me. Thanks for sharing. And to answer John....they put the outlet there so they can plug in their big-screen TV, silly ☺.
Although she is a very pretty lady with a fantastic body, I'm not a big fan of "ink".....just me, I guess, but I love the poses, lighting, etc. Your photographic abilities really shine here. Thanks for sharing.
My dad taught my mom how to drive in the very early '50s, she was 35ish ± before she learned to drive. Once she learned to drive, my dad bought her a car...it was a 1948 Plymouth coupe just like your photo only a deeper blue color. When I saw your photos, it brought me back to my childhood. Thanks for sharing these....good memories good photos.
I liked it a lot better when I knew a Nigerian ex-minister was going to send me millions of dollars and all I had to do was provide my bank account, date of birth, and social security number.....what could possibly go wrong?
Amazing the scams folks think up. Thanks for sharing this is a new one for me.
Great captures! It appears to me that perhaps your focal point is not the "eye" of the deer. In the first two photos, the bench pretty sharp, yet the deer is a little fuzzy, and the Christmas balls are sharp. I know when I get in a hurry, this happens to me all the time. The last photo is the sharpest in my opinion. As they say, keep shooting and you'll get it perfect. Thanks for sharing and I'm envious that you get wildlife in your backyard.
I too shop at Samy's Camera. I grew up in Culver City and that is the store I've used for years. I've been to the store on Fairfax and as mentioned it is huge. However, I struck up a relationship with the store manager at the Culver City store and as I've said have purchased nearly everything I own from that store. They are competitive and honest folks.
Absolutely one of the best costumes for a family I've seen and a beautiful family to boot. These are great photos and I especially love the two kids together. That would be my screen saver on my computer for sure. Great keepsake memories. By the way, the photographer did a good job too. Thanks for sharing these.
