I like these a lot, Father Jack! Nice shooting.

Thanks. If I were told I could shoot only in black and white or color for a year I would go with black and white. I shoot raw so everything starts out in color but I convert a significant amount of what I shoot, particularly up there, into black and white.

I love the beauty of the starkness and the simplicity of not having a number of furniture pieces around. The black and white as well as the composition really add to the overall beauty of your photographs.

Thanks. The spareness extends to the monastic church and everything else, except the meeting room.

Excellent! I have missed your posts.

Thanks. Has been a bit chaotic of late. Hoping for some slow down and more time to shoot and post. These were last weekend.

Well done frjack. Monochrome works very well with these images.

Thanks. The image of the 'ding' had a background of green as in grass. Green has never been a favorite color. Demanded conversion. I much prefer black and white to color for a lot of my work.

Recently at a monastery that I periodically visit. Didn't have as much time s I would have liked to shoot but there was a little. Had planned on staying one day longer but the weather forecast suggested getting gone while the getting was good. Proved to be a very good intuition. Waking up to hear a downpour outside my window was much better than trying to drive through it.

Cloister walk.

Chair outside the room. Much more attractive than white plastic.

A 'ding' in a plate glass window shot with an Olympus 300 mm lens. Is only about 1 inch at its maximum if that.

I think you mean Sacred Heart in Fairfield not Sacred Cross. Holy Cross is a Jesuit college in Worcester.

Nice series. Spent a year in Australia but never manage to get over to NZ. Pity. What kind of trees are those in the water?

Excellent shots. Tulip fields have a particular impact.

Nicely arranged still life. That is the perfectly cut twist.

Good images of this event frjack. As far as the high numbers go the bib would wrap around my chest!

Don

Good point about the numbers. I ran for 28 years. Then neuromuscular disease got in the way. My bib would say,, "Are you delusional?" But, it was great to shoot. Am already planning for next year.

Great action set, Frjack.

Thanks. There was a lot of action. Over 30k running. I don't think the raising money for charity runners are counted in the tally which gives the number of people who qualified.

Great set Jack! We’ll done.

Thanks Doc. Had a good time especially knowing I could go back to the house to rest. The "kid" with me went back during the rain. No sense of humor.
