Looks like a Black-headed Grosbeak
I have been using "Second Copy" for years and am very pleased with it.
Google it to see the details. For $29 it is a great deal.
Is this the same bird ????
"Checking Under The Hood"
That is a Hover Fly. They do not sting and do help pollinate.
The Turkey Vulture is another bird that competes for mothers love.
It is common for the Varied Thrush to hang with Robins so it is often mistaken as another Robin
The bird in the background is a Junco and the one in the other is a Varied Thrush
It is a Bushtit. The only North American bird that weighs less is the hummingbird.
If you were lucky enough to get a photo of a female you would see a yellow ring around its eye

May was my month for raptors. The Horned owl family is the first chance I have ever had to photograph. The Kestrel was a real challenge to get close too and the Turkey Vulture has a face only a mother could love.

For a second year in a row a Bluebird family has taken up residence in our backyard.
I do a lot of "walk around" bird shots with a tripod and the Manfrotto 468MCRC2 ball head with a Canon 7D2 and the 100-400 II. This ball head is rated at 17 lbs. and is very smooth. I am very happy with this combination.
Bet you thought you were going to see a car...
Finally captured a Blue Heron doing something other than standing motionless. I have had numerous caption suggestions for this photo.
