No, the gas cap is clearly seen on the left beside the turn signal bulb. The right side has two steps for getting up into the rumble seat without stepping on the bodywork and paint.

Beautiful photos of by far the best looking of the three, followed very closely by the '56 with the '57 a distant third. The '58 actually slots in between the '56 and '57 but isn't counted in the tri-fives.

And then there are studies that have proven driving with the windows open and the increased turbulence and wind drag uses more fuel than running the a/c. I tend to believe that one.
