You have to press the alt key then at the same time right click on the mouse and you should be fine.

billnikon, his is what I have always done to start the clone. It does not work with either of the mouse buttons on the mouse.

Tried it again just now and nothing.

sorry, you might as well be speaking Japanese........no idea what you are asking!

dancers, to reset to original settings, you must depress and hold three keys, Ctr, Alt, & Space bar immediately as you press the Icon to open PS CS6. It is supposed to give you a decision to reset to original settings. If you and you MUST get the timing exactly before it will allow the reset.

As I said, I've tried every way to Sunday at lest a dozen times and I do not get the window that asks to reset!
It gives me another type setting, I say, OK and the window leaves and opens PS, but alas, it does not reset to original settings.

I do not trust myself to uninstall and re-install PS at this point.

Hope this sheds some light on what I was asking for.
Thanks for your reply!

Guys, HELP!!!
All of a sudden I cannot Clone.
I've tried to do the three finger/button reset about 25 times and I get the same box every time.
I click OK and the program loads, still cannot clone!!
Frustrated!!

PS CS 6, Teacher/Student edition.

What am I doing wrong?
I watched several YouTube clips, I do as they say and still no cloning.

Help is appreciated

From the looks of the photo, I'd say that he uses the spare as a "coin toss".
It's about the size compared to the other four!

Unfortunately, as camera manufacturers continue to upgrade (change) things in the type of resultant files produced, it becomes necessary for processing software purveyors to accommodate by upgrading their software. Some could choose to do that retroactively, but that would delete a selling point for their always “newer and better” version.

Loren, thanks for the two posts' about my issue(s). Concerning the Codex download. I want to open the RAW files in CS6 and make adjustments, etc. This I cannot do currently.

Back to our OP: are you saying you could edit D3200 RAW (NEF) in your CS6 before the WIN10 upgrade? Without pulling the compatibility manuals, is the problem simply that you need to restore a Windows file association so that the NEF file type launches your CS6 software?

CHG_CANON, exactly! This is the first thing I thought of.
There were other items that did not work after W10 was installed.
I too called on those items, Outlook emails, HP 4200 Laser printer. Each time, MS "fixed" the problem after telling me that the drivers were not supporting them any longer. Then, BAM!!, they were fixed and working.
Several other small things.
This is why I said I was calling MS to see what they say or could do.

ALL UHH members that replied, were GREAT help, as I asked for!! Cannot say thanks enough!
But, for now, I'm laying the problem at MS and W10.
It's sad when a platform is working GREAT and they want to change it only to cause some (me) problems.
W10 is NOT the panacea, in fact it is harder to move around and get what you want where you want, In my opinion.

Concerning the fee to "rent" the programs, I currently pay for the Office Suite, $10 a month, since I pay in advance I get the program a few cents cheaper, they say.... Again, their previous version was working GREAT and then the change...ALL sorts of issues!!

THANKS AGAIN ALL for your input!

I recently updated my computer to W10. Really do not care for the "new style" and some of the associated issues with it. Such as Printer, D3200 Camera Raw will not open in CS6. researching from PS site their link, it says I need to update my CS6 program or rent updated version for $20.00 month.

Cannot do this, too expensive for an old man (80).

I can still use the jpg file to do some adjustments, but not much luck with darker photos.

Suggestions?

I am calling MS to see if this is something they know about and their suggestions.
I did see on the site link, that I needed to update several drivers. I downloaded their file, but it is a WinZip file update. This is only a Zip file, correct?

Thanks all

Thanks for your stories about the Right/Left game. I believe this hit the spot for the activity we wanted for the Christmas Party.

Thanks again!

I was always in charge of the games and exchanges at my clogging Christmas parties. Everyone always got a big chuckle out of playing the Right-Left exchange game. You read a story and every time you hear the word "right", you pass your gift to the person sitting on the right side of you. If you hear "left", you pass it to the left. Whatever gift you are holding at the end of the story is the one you keep.

Ahhhh..Hummmm. Do you have the story associated with the "game"?
How man times was Right and/or Left in the story?
Interesting... Like more information if there is any.
Is the story built around the number of gifts?

Sounds MIGHTY interesting!!

Thanks
Dave

PS: Do you have the story related with the game or is one that one makes up?

We have got a lot of laughs and competition from a game with gifts. Several names for it, Chinese Christmas gift exchange or white elephant gift exchange... rules on line. Basically, you bring a wrapped gift (usually $ limit set) and put them in a pile... draw numbers for sequence and when it’s your turn you either take a gift from pile or take a gift from someone who has already selected/unwrapped one.... then they get to take a gift... and this can continue, so one “turn” can be several exchanges if people are taking from someone instead of the pile. Sometimes, rules include freezing the gift (no one can take it from you) under certain circumstances, like it has been taken 3 times. in our families, some couples work together for a strategy to keep a gift they want.

Thanks for the reply KillroyII (were you really there??
We know the gift thing as "Dirty Santa" Never have figured out why it is Dirty Santa as "Santa" brought the gift!! One time I really got "stiffed", lack of a better word.... My Santa gift was about $6 more than the limit.

When it came time for my draw, opened it and it was a pair of Union Boss gloves, about a $2 item. The person that got my gift wanted to stop the game right then!! Refused. As it wound up, I got my gift back, then the last person to draw got a pair of dress gloves and immediately took my gift away!!

Needless to say... Sure I went over the $$ limit, but it was a darn nice gift, compared to my Union Boss work gloves!!

Oh well, we did have fun for a few minutes!!

Thanks again for your reply!!!
