Wonderful photos. Your black & white is fantastic. Our photos of Iceland are a little shy of yours. It’s a great place to visit. Thank you for sharing.

My wife and I were in Iceland in late August last year and we had photo gloves and found them nice to have when you needed them which was about four times in two weeks, especially on the whale watching ship. Layers always and as someone said rain pants and top (we used golf gear and worked great) plus puff vests and a water proof jacket plus a rain shell. Rain lens sleeves for your photo gear especially around waterfalls even if your photo gear is weather sealed. We read not to wear jeans but the rain pants were almost always in use so we never had a problem. Have a great trip and if you have time think about extending to the magical Faroe Islands which are a short flight away, five days will do it.

I have the Nikon 500 PF & D500 and it works beautifully but I don’t use a 1.4 TC with it. The problem you will have once you use the lens is you will not want to give it up. I’m sure you have considered all the alternatives as I did and I still decided to keep my rig as I just enjoy using it. I did buy an 8 oz lighter M43 OM-1, 1.4TC and Olympus 300mm f4 kit that takes me to 840mm equivalent and has the modern excellent BIF capabilities and it works great as well but for now I’m keeping the Nikon kit too. It is not an easy decision. Good luck.

So that’s what I can do when it is 100. Just not as expertly. Thank you for sharing.

I place my Lowepro Protactic 350 inside my roll and take a Peaks Design 6L bag for under the seat. For that size gear you might try the 450 model and a Peak Designs 10L. I choose daily what I need and carry the small bag.

Usually, my wife and I each have a backpack for our gear, but we are planning a trip to Scotland,

Similar to many other's responses, I have invested way too much $ in back pac ks over the years. The one that I now use and am quite pleased with is a Manfrotto back pack model that has a compartment for my computer. I find that when I travel, even for a few days, I want to download my images each day
I cannot see a model number. The bag is very light in weight and readily holds my Z6 plus up to 4 lenses. If not taking a particular lens, there is room for my flash unit.

Anyone want to purchaser a a 13" Peak Design bag? Great condition. Great protective bag for equipment. Reasonably light in weight.

The 13” Peak Design bag is a nice bag and my wife owns one and uses it for overseas travel.
