I purchased the Sony NEX7 about 9 months ago and am delighted with all aspects of it. I have 3 lenses and each is very sharp and provides excellent resolution and color. I also have a Canon 7D with several lenses. The poor thing now sits in the corner like a "bad boy" that is too heavy. Buy a mirror less and you won't be sorry.

I HAVE HAD THE NEX7 FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS. I ALSO HAVE A CANON 7D. I USE THE NEX7 MOST OF THE TIME AND THE RESULTS ARE OUTSTANDING. AS A MATTER OF FACT I PLAN TO SELL ALL OF THE CANON EQUIP. BECAUSE THE NEX7 JUST ABOUT DOES IT ALL WITH A FRACTION OF THE WEIGHT. I AM NOT A PRO, BUT A CRITICAL AMATEUR. TRY IT OUT WITHOUT OBLIGATION. SONY GIVES 30 FREE TRIAL.BEST OF LUCK. ZING

There are two sites to look at for electronic capture of liquids:
Cognisys.com & bmumford.com Both of these are very good devices. Don

I enjoyed your captures. I too do water drops and I wondered what devise you are using. I bought a unit from a company in England. It's not bad but lacks some of the features of the two that are sold in the U.S.A. Hope to see more of your drops in the near future. Don

I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM (MINUS THE ILLNESS) AND PURCHASED THE SONY NEX7 WITH TWO LENSES. I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. THE LOAD IS VERY LIGHT - THE IMAGES ARE OUTSTANDING - AND THE CAMERA IS A JOY TO USE. I EVEN BOUGHT A NEW LIGHTWEIGHT TRIPOD IN BLUE AND IT WORKS JUST FINE WITH THE NEX7. LOOK INTO IT OR SOME OTHER BRAND OF MIRRORLESS CAMERA - YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID. DON

Take a good look at the Sony Nex7. It is amazing. Very light. Excellent image quality. Good range of lenses. Expensive but well worth the expense.

I still own and use a canon 7D with two L lenses. Very heavy gear but superb quality. Wanted something lighter that I can take anywhere without a big bag.

Don't give up on the NEX series. I just bought the 7 and I can tell you without reservation it is one the best cameras I have ever owned and used. What you see is what you get. Exposures are always right on and the ease of use is amazing. Crop features are fantastic due to the high pixels. If you can afford it get the 7.

It is a plug in with Aperture. I have been using the full set for years and can only rave about the ease of use and great results. Get all of them and you will not be sorry.
