Who knows? That's the problem. What if 80% of those shootings were done by people who conceal/carry and were only acting in self defense? The rest of the country or even us in this city don't know that. Skewed or not, a statistic is still a statistic and I don't want to live in the wild west.

Last night, in Chicago, two women were attacked and hit in the face with a hammer. Had these women been packing, the shooting statistics would have gone up. They win but the city loses. You don't hear about self defense shootings too often. They are still classified as a shooting and a homicide. So will the statistics continue to climb with conceal and carry?

Living in Chicago I like to play my favorite game around the 4th, "Firework or Gunshot". Most of the "shootings" took place on the south side within some of the worst neighborhoods. Then the people of community getting interviewed keep saying "something needs to be done about all this". I agree. Put down the guns, plain and simple. Having a bad education is not an excuse. Everyone knows what guns do to people. It's the regard for human life that doesn't exist here anymore. How do you educate people to care?

So now all you "good Christians" are making fun of fat people AND posting pictures of them. Did you really have to post that? And how does someone feel sorry for a motorcycle? You can't even feel sorry for humans that disagree with you. Really pathetic.

If it is a choice and abstinence is the only way, then all heterosexuals should be confined to having sex only to procreate by ejaculating into a test tube, later to be inserted in the woman's vagina with a turkey baster. Just take all the pleasure that God intended for us to have during this act and make it like a science experiment. So, why does stimulating our sex organs bring feelings of pleasure (for most)? Tell me all about the snake and the apple. What a crock. Laughable. Only straight people are allowed to enjoy the pleasures of sex because they earned it by being born straight? Can you explain all those preachers and pastors being caught with their pants around their ankles raping young girls and boys but leading the hetero life? You find that to be more acceptable? Nobody should care what anyone does in the privacy of their own home between consenting adults PERIOD!

Probably not. They are too busy talking to their friends, surfing for porn and sexting. Who wants to read what a bunch of retirees have to argue about? Unless you count the endless tirade of personal attacks from the schoolyard bullies on here.

I watch my LOCAL news and then go on UHH. I always get up to the date reporting and both sides of the issues including name calling. News and entertainment. Win-Win!
