I really enjoyed seeing your pictures.
I don't know how to say what was special about them.
I would enjoying viewing more of your pictures,
when you have some new ones, perhaps in a few weeks.
I think I enjoyed the uniqueness of them.
Keep them coming, with an occasional reminder here on the Hog.

Its used by Nikon cameras to correct some apparent image flaws from the lens. Yes it is, just as the firmware.

Thank You joer.
I appreciate your responses to my questions.

"Lens Data"

What is it used for?
Is that something that is updatable?
How?

1. D500

2. Distortion Data

Thanks joer.
I had ver. 1.13.
I followed the procedure.
With a little head scratching, I got it done.
I haven't used that copy function before; but, it works.
I guess it didn't work before. I'm using the battery
grip with a battery only in the grip, not the camera.

Question:
On the Firmware version screen,
what does "LD" stand for ?

Thanks again!

All you have to do is leave the flash bracket in the landscape configuration (1st pic) and put the camera in portrait position with the short side of the L bracket. This will leave the flash over the lens and the camera will still be on the tripod with the ball head straight up. The bracket attaches to the ball head via an Arca Swiss plate that screws into the base of the bracket just like any quick release tripod plate. The camera is then attached to the bracket with an Arca Swiss clamp that is built into the bracket if you get the SA model. Let me get set back up and I'll snap you another pic.

You put an Arca Swiss plate on the bracket (arrow on the right). This will get the bracket attached to the ball head. The bracket has an Arca Swiss clamp so you just attach your camera L bracket in that clamp. Arrow on the left.

Hope this helps.

Thank You Very Much Bill!
The above post helped me immensely and You have to.
The best part above is the 2nd paragraph.
I appreciate all your work/photos.

Bye now.

Thank You Bill.
Your pictures/post have helped me refine my question. I would like to keep my ball head pointed straight up, as in your top picture. I would like an L-Bracket attached to the ball head along the short end of the L-Bracket. i.e. the camera would be mounted in portrait position. I believe I need the flash bracket attached between the L-Bracket and the ball head. Is that possible? Is there a special Arca plate that allows the plates to stack? (I want to avoid placing my camera to the side of the ball head, as in your bottom picture.)

You've all got me interested in having an L bracket.
If I purchase only one, lets say it's designed for a D850,
would it also work good for a D800 and D500?

Thanks for helping me.

Okay guys. I've read all your posts. You've got me sold on using
an L Bracket. I'll be using it primarily to put my D500, D800, etc.
in portrait position on a tripod. I won't be doing this often so I've
decided on a less expensive 3 Legged Thing QR11-LC Universal L-Bracket.

While my camera is attached to my tripod for portraits using an L Bracket,
I need a way to attach my flash gun so that it is centered above the camera
lens. How do I do that? Is there an attachment that will work
along with the L Bracket?

Amazing! You have inspired me to try this.
Perhaps you could post some more of your bubble pictures.
Have you tried lighting the bubbles from the backside/bottom side?

Thanks for all your suggestions.
Here is how my problem was solved to an acceptable degree. I'm on a Windows 10 system. In System Display setting I was using a scale setting of 125%. This allowed my Start Page Apps, and probably everything else, to look the way I wanted them to look. If you would like to see my PS settings, see my original post. In Windows Display settings I chose "Custom Scaling". I set the Custom Scaling to 135. That allowed my PS drop-down menu titles and tool symbols located to the left of my work space to be a little larger and easy enough for me to see so that I am comfortable using the menu titles and tool symbols. My Start Page Apps got larger; but, not unruly. At least all the apps stayed in the locations I have had them. My other programs seem to display to my liking, although they are a little bigger. When I tried a Custom Scaling of 140, the locations of my Start Page Apps got too large and they were moved arround on my screen.

I hope this explanation helps others.
Thank you for trying to help me.

Please Help Me.
I just updated Photoshop to the latest CC version. My drop-down menu titles and many (if not all) my other titles/labels got much smaller in size. I.E. They got difficult to read. Preferences>Interface>UI Scaling is still set to 200% (as before my update) and UI Font size is set at Large. I can't fine anything else in "Preferences" to change. I've tried re-starting PS and re-booting and re-starting my computer. When I try changing my computer's Display settings (text size and screen resolution) everything else gets messed up to some degree (that I don't like) and the Photoshop menu titles get larger, I think close to the size they were prior to the Update to the latest version. My screen resolution is set at the recommended 2560 x 1440. Pictures that I have worked on remain a nice size in the UI. When opening PS my "Resent" snapshots are much smaller and more numerous and "List" print size is much smaller.

Help Me Please.

Thanks Guys.
For now I'm going to I use "normal" instead
of "advanced" for the drawing mode setting.
If that doesn't work out, I'll try "basic". If that
doesn't work out, I'll turn my graphic processor off.
I think that's what I did a while back and that
solved my problem. I'm guessing the problem
came back with a PS upgrade.

I appreciate all of you for coming to my aid.

You all possess much PS wisdom. Someday maybe I'll be to your level.
All what you each said makes sense. And I tried it.

Turning off the Using My Processor rang a bell in my noggin. I think I had this same problem
before and turning off using my processor fixed it. I'm trying that again for now.

Turning off using my processor did generate a couple of questions in my mind:
1) What are the negative effects of turning off my processor?
I paid a lot for this computer and added a nice processor and 24 Gig of Ram.

2) What if instead of turning my processor off, I picked "normal" or "basic" instead
of "advanced" for the drawing mode? Does anyone know if that is a good solution. I may
try that sometime.

Thank You All.

On my Photoshop it indicates the brush is very small or very large. Usually large and I can reduce it with the bracket key as you say. Next time it happens look at the size of the brush. Hope this is the problem.

Thanks Jim.
I can see in the upper left of my PS screen that the numbers representing the sizes of tools are changing. Those numbers tell me PS is doing its thing. And, the tools are actually changing in size; but, the circle on my screen that represents the tool size, remains a small + like symbol. That + symbol doesn't help me when I need to get a tool up close to the edges of things.

P.S. I'm guessing your kids call you "Pops". My daughters are in their 40's and still call me Pops. Pretty cool, I think.
