Interesting about the MRI. I have a defribulator/pacemaker combo implanted in my chest due to v-fib. Was told I could not undergo an MRI cause it would mess up the combo. My Physiologist-Cardiologist says it can be done but most doctors are afraid to try an MRI. So far, I have been able to avoid the need for an MRI, but wonder what will happen if I sometime need one.
I too was told not to undergo an mri. I called the company that made my pacemaker. They said the unit itself could handle it but the wire going into my heart could be pulled away and that would not be good.
