If any of you "Israel Travelers" has put together a video or slide presentation of your trip, I'd really like to see it. My wife and I will be going with our church group this winter and I'd like to see what 'you all' chose to record. We have only been 'over seas' a very few times in our life time (near 80 years) so a little guidance would help. :-) Sam

Cany143, How is it that your small photo did not have a white frame around it, but when you uploaded the "original" it had a white frame around it? Great Panorama!

Really enjoyed your 'show'!

Many of the transitions (especially in the first 1/2 of the show) did not allow the photo to come in full focus until only a 1/2 second or so and then another transition started. (I'm over 77 years old so I'm almost certain the 'younger crowd' would like your transitions.

10AM Eastern time. Can someone who was experiencing this problem earlier today let me know if it's working now?

I wasn't able to see 'hardly any' photos a few hours ago. It was strange that I was able to see one "index photo" in the middle of a series of birds. But couldn't Down Load any photos (see them in a large format).

Just went on line with my desk top and it worked. So, I checked my Amazon Fire Tablet (which I use when I wake up in the middle of the night) that didn't work then. But, everything works now. Glad you knew what to do! Thanks.

[quote=armandoluiz]Ok guys, I THINK I'm starting to understand.

So why in many webs people says that wideangle is good for Landscape and Real Estate photography?

NOW I see why is good for real estate, it will make house's interior looks bigger, right?

Armandoluiz, using the above 'thought process' could just do the opposite. It could harm/cancel the sale of a home. A few years ago, I listed my own home on zillow. A man from Colorado called for an appointment to see our home that had an ocean view in northern California. His wife was resisting coming with him. He didn't say why. But on the appointment day she did come in with him and after taking just two or three steps in the front door she said, "Wow, this is exactly has the video/slide presentation showed." I didn't know what she meant. Then they walked down the hall and went into the first bedroom. And again, she expressed surprise. "It is exactly like the video!"

Later, I found out that she had gone with her husband on many "house hunting buying opportunities". They had looked at the photos before going to actually looking 'in person'. Some sellers/real estate agentd used a wide angle lens on the 'wading pool' and it looked like a swimming pool. Each room shown on the photos was made to look larger than the actual size it was. Some even post processed the terrible colored paint on a neighbor's building so it wouldn't be so awful looking in the photos. This couple told me that they just walked out and wouldn't deal anymore with that particular agent because he 'lied' with his photos.

With the extent of how often this 'marketing method' is used, this negative results must not always happen. But, I just wanted you to know that sometimes the opposite (negative marketing) happens.

Sam

PS. We did sell our home to that couple. :-)

Went geocaching with my lovely wife this afternoon.

Bozsik, it looks like you practice what I had in mind when I 'produced' a video a few years ago. Not only do I like your photo, but it reminds all of us that maybe, just maybe, the best part of geo caching is the 'seeing' both going to a cache and returning from finding (or not) the cache. You just might like to look at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hQ1UBvwbQI&t=2s to see if you agree. ;-)

What I liked best of your video is the relaxing bird sounds throughout the presentation! How in the world were you able to keep the "wind noise" completely out of the video? It has been several years since you made this video, have you purchased a "fluid head" to mount on your tripod, since? If not, see if you can borrow one or if you are lucky enough to have a camera store in your area, you could set up your present tripod with both your head and a true fluid head displayed by the store. Pan the very same area (in the store or out the window) with the same video camera but using the two different heads and see what a difference that makes. (Hummm, do I like helping others spend money?) ;-) Sam

I would have loved to see some video of these scenes. For a slide show, I think it ran a bit long.

Bob, thanks for the positive comments (that I didn't quote). And I agree with you that it is long for 'todays' audience. I did make this video (slide presentation) for a specific target audience of Geocachers. I don't think I even owned a video camcorder when I did that presentation. My main purchase of showing it on the UHH is to show the importance of a "Story Line" to make a video that someone would watch.

Sam ... Hope you will contribute some more video in the future. Bob

Bob, another member here asked privately to see another video. I sent him one to which my target audience are Geocachers. I believe that most cacher's are motivated by "Finding the Cache"/logging another "find". I hope this video enlarges their thinking to seeing the beauty of what can be seen both coming and going to the exact location of the Cache. While I probably won't be redoing this particular video, I do welcome both improvement comments and what specific things 'make it' for your viewing. I can then apply your suggestion(s) in future videos.
