Not to mention that the term “crop sensor” is invalid, at least to my way of thinking. That would be like saying that that the FX or 35mm equivalent size is the only real size, and anything smaller is cropped. I did a google search on the dimensions of the first digital sensor by Kodak, but came up empty, but I do believe that it was smaller than the 35 mm format. So calling a sensor a “crop” sensor actually has no meaning. Why would 35mm or FX not be a crop of medium format?

I am once again turning to vast storehouse of knowledge on UHH to help me buy wisely.

It seems that my 2001 Sears stove has cooked it's last meal. After heating the Stauffer's lasagna last night, I saw a bright light in the oven. One point on the electric heating element was glowing so brightly that it looked like someone was welding in there. That spot kept burning its way around the element till I turned off the circuit breaker. There is probably a heating element available that I could buy, but prices I've seen are $100 and up. In addition, I suspect the oven control switch is also bad because while that spot was burning, the rest of the element was glowing a dim red.

So, I'm ready to hear your suggestions for what I should look for in an electric stove. A high price is not tops on my list. In the meantime, I still have a working microwave and a wood stove.

I had a similar thing happen to my oven element several years ago. I looked the model number up on either Amazon or Ebay. Can't remember which now. New element was about $30. Easy to replace. 2 screws and 2 spades to pull. Like new again.

Concerning video in portrait mode, I’ve admonished friends and relatives many times about this, asking if the turn their tv vertically. I don’t get very far.

I’m kind of partial to the Olympus OMD line, but I think that a bridge camera with a good zoom range might be a better fit.

I have a dash cm that records photos and video on a mini SD card. I removed the SD card to view the recordings on my IPad Pro, via a lighting connector.

Nothing. De nada. Zilch. Etc

Does the IPad Pro not read from a SD card?

I have the same problem with a Garvin dashcam and IPad (Apple products). Garvin is recording in a format that Apple does not like. I got a free app called VLC which will read them.

Got a question: I want to buy a NIKKOR 16-80mm f/2.8-4 lense.

I've been using Google to research various suppliers of the lense. Many of them offer the lense new at list price of $1,069.95

Now, on Abe's of Maine, it offers the lense new for $655:

https://www.abesofmaine.com/Nikon_AF-S_DX_NIKKOR_16-80mm_f_2_8-4E_ED_VR_Lens_1029042.html

Is this price too good to be true? Could the lense be a gray market item, and if so, is a gray market item of good quality?

Just my 2 cents. I have bought several Nikon bodies and one lens from Abe’s. No problems.

Can anyone offer comments that could shed light on this scenario?

Thanks

Unbelievable that an otherwise sound person could have their head buried so deeply in the sand, or elsewhere.

And in the Clintons’ case all potential “flippers” end up dead. Some even with SEVERAL gunshots to the head.

I guess I’d rather have someone say that my camera takes good photos rather than bad ones.

I sure hope that you are kidding and just trying to pull some chains, and if you are not......then you are certainly very misguided.

I drove around Lake Tahoe last August, 2017. Photo opps were not as plentiful as I had hoped for. Lots of construction, so many parking spots were either closed off or filled with construction vehicles and equipment. I hope you have better luck.
