Good morning. My name is Don and I am a lensaholic-with a major B&H dependency. I've followed UHH for over a year but this is my first post. I have the opportunity to tour Auschwitz during an upcoming trip. I am doing this with great trepidation. I know it will be emotional but I just can't not go. I have a Mark II and am thinking that my 16-35mm lens will be the most versatile. Other option is 24-105. Has anyone been there and if so, what lens would you take? And any advice on what I need to be ready to experience?
Good morning. My name is Don and I am a lensaholic... (show quote)

Hi Don,
My parents in law went there for a visit and were deeply moved by the whole place. My father in law said that when they arrived it was like everything had stopped living. No birds to be heard or seen and incredibly still and quiet. Its an experience they had but dont want to repeat and has left them with very profound memories.
I think this is a place we should never forget. Visiting there is up to you and I hope you come away unscathed.. :)
