I have been using the Nik plug-in suite for many years, have noticed lately that they are not working as seamlessly as they used to. When I open up in Viveza 2 or any other filter I get a black box then slowly it comes back to normal.
Since the last update this seems to happen, has anyone else had this problem? If so what have to done to correct this, thank you for any help in this matter, Rich M.

I found out how to fix the problem, went into System Preferences and then clicked on ink, then unchecked "Allow me to Ink in any application, relaunch, then it worked, thanks to all who tried to help, Rich M.

I am using a fairly new 27" I Mac with Photoshop CC 2017, I see when I try to use liquify the hand tool just shows, I can not get the brush tool to show. I have searched this on the web and see other people have this problem but no answers on how to fix this problem.
Am a amateur retoucher and this is really becoming a problem. Have any of the members of this group had this problem and what have you done about this, thank you for any help with this matter, Rich M.

Hello Richard: Thank you for your reply, I am a retired lithographer (color separator) so color is quite importent to in it's accuracy. I have a number of questions to ask of you about your settings, I did try them and the results looked quite good.
1. How do you set your monitor as far as brightness is concerned, am using a 27 inch I Mac?
2. I see you sent the Gamma at 1.8, is this for Adobe 1998? I tried it at 2.2 results was only fair.
3. I could not find the Photo Realistic setting on either Adobe Photoshop or the Epson XP 960 printer, when is it located?
4. In the Printer Profile what setting do you use, I could not find any listing Epson paper there, I just entered Adobe 1998 2.2 or 1.8?
5. I used Brightness and Contrast adjustment for the correction, is this what you used?
6. For the color adjustment I used the color balance adjustment sent to mid tones, what did you use?
I am sure that I have other questions, but this will do for now, I tried e-mailing you direct but the message kept coming back as not sent. rieo@alum.mit.edu did not work for me. I see your in Mass. used to work in Framingham doing some consulting for Raytheon.
Thank you again, Richard Marks

I have a fairly new I Mac computer and am using photoshop CC 2017 and a Epson 960 printer. I was wondering if there are any changes I should make to the display to get more accurate prints? I do calibrate the display with a color munki smile. The image on the computer seems a bit bright compared to my prints, color seems to be okay. I know there a various ways to make changes to the display, just using the defaults right now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am teaching myself retouching as a hobby and would like the screen to match the prints as much as possible, thank you, Rich M.

I keep getting a panel on my I Mac that says "acdn.adnxs.com" cannot verify this web site, I have to keep canceling this panel. Do any of our fellow hogs know how to get the Mac to stop showing this.
It gets really annoying, I think I picked it up downloading VLN to play some old clips from a dvd. Any help will be appreciated. Rich M.

Iam tired of dealing with Microsoft, going to buy a new 27 inch I Mac, I do pet photography as a hobby, use photoshop CC 2015 to retouch, what features do you think I should look for? Amount of Ram, Graphics card, type of screen, etc. Since I am spending quite a bit of money I might as well do it right. Whan kind of warranty should I look for. Do I need to use Anti-virus protection (Norton) some say yes, some say no. Thanks for your suggestions.

have had photoshop 2015 CC for several years, my Graphic Processor has always worked. Recently I noticed that it is not working, in preferences the Grapic Processor (Open GL) has been greyed out. I see a message that says it is a driver problem. I have checked the drivers and they seem to be fine, have a Inter (R) video card installed in a Windows 7 PC. I was thinking there might have been a Adobe update that might have caused the problem or Ineed a new video card. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions would be welcomed, thank you.
