Film photography is to digital photography as horseback riding is to driving a car. Sure, a car is in many ways the more practical option in today's world. But no car will ever give you the experience and ultimate thrill of riding full gallop across an open field on a sunny summer's day. Never has and never will.

Total awesome comparison! I would go broke on developing though!

I prefer the larger work space I feel I get in elements. But I am use to to it. I tried Lightroom and it is just not as easy to maneuver around in.
I shoot raw also so the first thing I do is is weed out the photos that don't make the cut. Then I weed out the next set removing them from my hard drive and catalog in elements. I keep the raw and the converted image of the ones that make the cut.

I have a disk for PSE11. I'd send it to you for the price of shipping. That being said, the interface really changed between PSE 10 and PSE 11 (which I call the bubble-gum version since all the icons are larger and cartoon-like). If you can find a Version 10, that was the sweet-spot. They are both 32-bit versions and don't take advantage of the newer operating systems memory usage.
this is a great offer, I will try Adobe and let you know how it work out!

I wondered if Adobe would send a key code to me it has been about 3 years.

I restored my computer system and lost my Elements 10 software.
I down loaded the trial of Lightroom! I don't really care for the small work pallet, and miss my old elements. Anybody have an older version laying around!
I see 5 is free but wanted around a 9 or 12

Get the 10-18 with image stabilization. It is not as durable build but it will do the job! I have the 10-22 I paid 425.00 used for. Have tempted to sell it and get the 10-18 I do not use the wide angle as much as I thought! They have very little detail in the photograph. At least that is my experience with the one I have! Great water fall camera but it does not stay on my camera.

Fantastic! I just mentioned going to photograph the wild horses today! Wasn't sure if I wanted to to stay on the washington side or cross over at Biggs junction. I believe I have my answer. I did say I was holding off til around easter in 2015 what do you think any activity in April? I will have to stay over a day to far to drive shoot and drive home.

I just love your shots, I am going to check your Flickr page for more!

Oh I am looking at them all!! I have a 300 do to land today!! Every thing I read I was worried to put a converter on it! That may hold true for my t2i but PERHAPS if I upgrade the body down the road! 😀

I just hate waiting around for a truck to show up to the house!

Was this also with the 300 are you hand holding, mono pod or tri pod?
Incredible shoots by the way, some say it is the glass but once you have good glass an upgrade camera can't hurt! Assuming the skilled person is holding the equipment! None of it helps if you don't have ability! Your helping out Canon sales👍

I do not encourage handholding the 400 - but if you are into handholding and MUST handhold, that is the one to do it with.

Thanks for clarifying, I would settle for a monopod! I have a beefy monfroto with a basic tilt head

Well say what you will but yes IS packs a punch of it's own! When going from the Catilac lens 70-200 2.8L to a non IS 5.6 it is slower and harder to get the shutter speed up with minimal ISO increase! I am not that new to the game and enjoy the challenge of shooting Manual? I have a bi zillion shutter clicks due to practice I grab my camera at least one a day and practice in the back yard at the bird feeder, moon, cat, dog, ...if I come home with 3 or 4 good shots!, what I consider good I am happy with the day. It is encouraging to see imagemeisters comment best use is handheld. It is just that my 100mm IS L or the 70-200 there wasn't really much of a curve a kid could use those two lens and be grinning ear to ear with the results!

I do appreciate you telling me Cjc, quit whining and go practice 😃, so here I go out to practice!
