Nice shot. You must be out on Antelope Island. Now if you just had a buffalo in the picture. Hope you found cover before the rain came. Keep shooting great shots.
My wife, two daughters and I were able to travel to Crystal Springs four years ago and swim with the manatees. It is a great experience, we selected a tour that left very early in the morning and it worked out great, got there before too many other tourists came, but the water wasn't as clear as this video shows. Well worth doing!
That's a beautiful ride, but they do get harder to hold up as we get older. Mine seems to be getting heavier too.
This looks like the place Forest Gump turns around and says, "I think I'll go home now" after running across the country.
Great shot Dook, mighty mighty king of the jungle is he
I also have a SX40 and think it is a great camera. The telephoto lens is great for wildlife. It does seem a little slow from one picture to the next but maybe I have a slow card. I can't see any ratings printed on the card.
I've heard a quote from Ansel Adams, "In photography simplicity is power." but haven't been able to verify that is actually his. Have you heard this quote attributed to Ansel?
Looks really nice. It seems like 300 pounds of pea gravel is a lot. Is there a formula I could use to cover a sidewalk 4 ft wide by 40 ft long? Is the epoxy expensive? Is that something you can get at Home Depot?
I bought a camera from them recently. Great price, but very slow in processing and mailing. Customer service treats calls like they are an annoyance. I guess you have to weigh the good price against the service you want.
I'm not an expert, but enjoy the forum. I can quote an expert, Ansel Adams says, "In photography simplicity is power." That makes a lot of sense to me.
