all are beautiful! #1 my favorite! welcome to the party!
He sat in the tree for an hour while two crazy ladies proceeded to walk up to and around him click, clicking! He maintained his regal stance and stare throughout!
love the starkness of the first one! looks cold up there!
love them all! we have cardinals most places but those Ohio ones seem to be a little bigger and brighter! Thanks! The first is my favorite. ( ex Clevelander!)
perhaps you were ahead or behind me on Loop Road? was there this week and have similar shots ... Though not as good! my owl is fuzzy ... And not because he is a chick! :) Enjoyed seeing these ... As always! Thanks!

Excellent captures, and yes I know how difficult it can be to get a decent close up image! We had eight about 250 to 350 feet offshore this morning, but would not come any closer even though Mallards we feeding very close to shore.
well, it's good to know that they are not just avoiding me!!! I do enjoy watching them but it has become a challenge to get a close up ! Thanks for your remarks!

Look like the Red Heads we start to see this time of year here in Ohio.
I am from Ohio and never saw them there! thanks for your response!
Brrr!!! Sometimes I miss Ohio - but not this winter! Thanks for sharing these!
We have as many as 40 to 50 everyday. They come and they go. Then, they come back. They never leave the water... just swim and dive, turn in circles and repeat. They are very shy and somewhat difficult to capture ... for me.. with my point and shoot but, I try!
This is a daring one...
he stayed somewhat close to me!
they seem to swim in pairs. there is always an even number on the lake
The usual! I arrive and they turn their backs!
