No, the only time this is a problem is if I plug in a flash drive or SD card and later turn on one of the eternal drives. The letter G will already be taken, so the external will be K.

I have been thinking about your remark to me for a couple of days now. You say i must be doing something wrong, when mine works perfectly and yours does not? How do you figure that? Your the one having the problem, not me.

We are, why do you think Trump has so much support, people are tired of the establishment. Plus Bernie's supporters are tired of the establishment. Look at all the Independents, they are tired of the establishment.

A few years back i closed my accounts out at Wells Fargo after i saw them sponsor a golf tournament. I was getting around 0.01 interest and i didn't want to pay millionaire golfers to play golf all week on my dime.

Just because of some bad publicity and people snoopy in his bank's business, this CEO is losing $41,000,000 in bonuses. Remind me. How much interest are banks paying on savings accounts?

OK, i understand now. My external is on all the time until i turn my Computer off. Never thought of just turning it on to send something to it. Glad we got that straightened out. Now its time to have a Scotch and Soda. Have a great evening.

My Computer stays on all day and i can insert an SD card or Flash drive multiple times during the day and all the drives remain the same letter.

romanticf16 wrote:
That may be because you turn your computer on and off. The naming issue happens when computers stay on and USB or other externals get plugged in, then removed.

FYI I have an external hard drive and it keeps the same letter all the time.

Sure it does. Whatever USB device you activate gets the next available drive letter. I use Syncback to backup seven folders to an external G drive. If I plug in a flash drive, that becomes G, so when I turn on the external, it gets a different letter, and I can't run the automatic backup. Even after I remove the flash drive, G is not available until the computer restarts. Fortunately, internal drives keep their drive names.

I wonder why that happens to your computer, it doesn't happen with my HP.

jerryc41 wrote:
As far as I'm concerned, Windows assigning a letter to drives is one of its weak points. Macs don't bother with that nonsense. I have two externals that I use for backing up seven folders, and if I insert a flash drive or SD card into the computer, it messes up the letters of my externals. I have to reboot before they, hopefully, go back to normal.

I don't think people are saying they hate Brady, they hate the cheating he has been part of all of his years with the Patriots.

Science and the ideal gas law proved Brady did not cheat
The courts did not decide whether Brady cheated or not. The court decisions had nothing to do what so ever with air in footballs. The court decisions were about rule 46 and the commissioners authority under the CBA.
Brady's success is a function of his line and their ability to protect him? Do you even watch football? He has arguabley one of the weakest lines in Football. His ability to throw for 400 yards is a result of getting rid of the ball in 2.1 seconds on average the second fastest in the NFL.
To the poster who says he can name 20 better. Name them. Name 10. I am about the same age I would love to hear this list. Football experts and coaches that have been around for a lot longer than you argue over 2 or 3 but you can name 20 or more?
Blanda and Unitas? Seriously you would have more credibility if you said Bart Star. Don't forget the great Earl Morril who led the undefeated Dolfins to the Super Bowl win.
If you don't like Brady just say so it's ok but to call him a cheater is not true just check the facts. Not a great qb check the facts. Not among the greatest of all time? 4 rings only one quarterback has more. So hate all you want but don't deny the facts

The only difference is Bradshaw and Montana got theirs without cheating.

Thus far, some interesting comments. Some positive and some negative. Brady is tied with Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana with 4 Superbowl Rings. Troy Aikman of the Dallas Cowboys is in 2nd place all alone with 3 Superbowl Rings. Tom Brady has been in 6 Superbowls and lost 2 to Eli Manning of the New York Giants. Tom Brady is 39 years old and has at least 2 more years left to play if not injured. If Tom Brady wins one more Superbowl Ring, he will be in undisputed first place with 5 Rings. If he accomplishes that, the Sports Writers will most likely say he is the greatest ever. And Brady wants that title. He was once asked in the past, which of his 3 Superbowl Rings did he cherish the most? His reply. "The next one." Remember, I am not a Patriots fan. Thanks everyone.

You may say Brady is a head only because he has been cheating for years, not just this past year. The whole organization is corrupt. Remember spygate? We only found out about the cheating after some of their coaches left to become head coaches.

Peyton Manning won 2 big games in his life. Brady is head and shoulders above him. Brady does more with average receivers than anyone. As far as comparing the old NFL versus the new, it's apples and oranges.

I think they are all a bunch of morons and not worth watching.

There is no news on TV or in the newspaper anymore; only editorials and happenings filtered such that they tell the story the station / network wants to convey. I have been interviewed twice for news events. Both times the story as presented on TV was totally mis-represented -- to the point where I would say the newscaster lied. Never trust an interview you see on TV unless both the interviewer and interviewee are in the scene; otherwise they "cut and paste" questions and answers such that the story is what they want told. I can speak from experience on that.
