I only use Epson printer. Their color technology is the best on the market. They offer superior color printing at great pricing. You simply can't go wrong with Epson. The Epson R1900 is a far superior printer. That prints up to 13 inches by 44,inches long
Why should we stay away from Shutterfly?
I have film cameras that go back to the late 1800's and I never had any problems like that. I bought and sold tens of thousands of cameras when I worked as a used equipment purchaser and I never had to deal with your problem. Could it be the atmosphere in how it was stored. High heat and humidity?
I sold cameras in a pro shop in Milwaukee for 9 years and the way it worked was the manufacturer has a msrp or manufacturer's suggested retail price. You can't advertise a Nikon (for example) product for less than the msrp. You could sell for any price you wanted, you can't advertise the sale price. That the way it use to work anyways. As far as Gray market or green dot merchandise you are all right, the gray market stuff is not intended for sale in the U. S. As a result the U. S. WARRANTY is not valid. And if something went wrong and a repair is needed, it has to go overseas to the manufacturer. Some camera manufacturers were a little more forgiving in the policy but guys like Hasselblad and Nikon were not so forgiving. Maybe things changed since then but I doubt it.
I was and still am a film guy at heart. I still use my Nikon f3hp every once in a while. My first digital camera was the Nikon L120. From there I purchased the Nikon P600. Then I up grated to the D3400. Just because you have a very expensive camera doesn't mean you pictures will be great. I've sold Hasselblad and leica to basic beginners who thought there money could buy them great images, but they were wrong. My wife with her point & shoot camera can create a ton of better images. Practice is what is needed. Knowledge of camera basics and learning composition is what is needed. All entry level cameras can produce spectacular images, trust me
Back in the day I spent a fair amount of time sepia toning copies of old photos to give me a useable print to start the restoration process. The worst of prints I copied and sepia toned to give me a more workable print. It is part of the past now just like my old darkroom. I hardly ever tone digital prints now days.
I currently use paint shop pro 2018 and I have used Corel products for what seems like decades and have never had your or any problem with any of their products. They have always run smoothly for me. I use PSP in conjunction with Photoshop and light room. I wonder if you ever considered talking to Corel about the issue
Finally, a good laugh to break up the so called intelligence.
I understand how shooting fires and fire departments Cam be a passion. I had a chance to shoot the fire department in Ixonia Wisconsin live and in action as they purposely burned down an old building. The fire chief himself loaned me his gear and let me enter the burning building to shoot the interior of the building so the fire engulfed the walls and the ceiling of this snack shop located in the center of an old outdoor Theatre. I'd pay for an opportunity again.
My favorite lens is a Nikon 16mm f2.8 ai-s full frame fisheye. It was in excellent condition and only $35. My employer sold it to me as a bonus. After 25 years it still takes beautiful pictures.
For almost 10 years I was on the other side of the counter. I was a used camera equipment purchaser for a major dealer here in Wisconsin. Remember that the dealer is there to make money and lots of it. Used equipment can be extremely profitable is done right. First they figure out what they can sell a piece for then basically cut that price in half to give you your price. They usually will break that routine and give your more if you are trading in rather than just selling outright. You will never get what the piece is truly worth when selling to a dealer so dealing with Craigslist or eBay is a good option. I have sold half of my film equipment on Craigslist and things always went very smoothly. The bigger a used equipment business is the better and fairer deal you will usually get. Guys like KEH camera are honest and truly fair.
I understands with regret I sold all my Sonar and all my darkroom equipment as well
I started taking pictures back in 1974 with my Nikon EM. I turned professional back in 1984 with a vast array of Nikon F's and AI'd lenses.
I sold professional camera to the best photographers in the state. Nikon, canon, Minolta, Hasselblad, Leica, Rollie and lots more.
I still shoot film now and then with my Nikon F3-HP but I am mainly digital now with an array of Nikon DSLR's. I enjoy nature, studio, and portrait photography
