Do you have a local plumber who may have had the parts you needed in his truck?
What is the scoop under the plane for?
It looks like an old Liberty Ship hatch cover. Many have been repurposed as coffee table tops, and other furniture tops. They sure make sturdy furniture tops.
I remember the DKW very well. A friend owned one which I borrowed frequently. Always surprised gas station attendants when I poured a quart of oil into the gas tank before the gas. I think it had a four speed shifter on the column. The one I used also had the suicide doors. The transmission would occasionally lock in a gear which required a trip under the car free it up. Mid sixties. Great car.
Amazon Prime also has a lot of good movies included. We use that feature several times per week.

I worked as a photographer for NASA contractors at the Apollo Site near Las Cruces, NM in the late 60’s early 70’s before finishing my degree at NMSU. I still have several pictures I took of the Guppy and Super Guppy when it landed at the El Paso International Airport. That was quite an airplane. The nose pivoted open for loading and unloading and all of the controls both mechanical and (I guess) hydraulic were disconnected and reconnected for flight. Thanks for the photos. Brings back many memories. That was the most fun job I ever had. I worked there for three years between years at college.
Thanks again,
Paul Weakley
It’s been said that if you wanted a car by buying the parts and building it yourself you could not afford it. Might the same be said for computers?
Check your library for copies of CR. Our library here in Punta Gorda, FL has a subscription to the print version and online version. Your library may as well.
I sometimes take a picture of directions, data, other writing for future reference. Sometimes it will be black letters on a white page/background. That prints just fine. Other times it may be white letters on a black background. When I try to print that picture my printer uses a ton of black ink. Is there any way to reverse that image so it changes to black letters on a white background? Sort of a negative/positive reversal.
BTW I’m using phone or iPad to take this picture. I don’t see any way to reverse the image. Positive/negative.

Go to West Marine. Boaters have a ton of weather/waterproof clothing.
I have the Epson ET 3700 and love it. I’m still on my first set of ink bottles. It’s been well over a year and I print a lot.
