Try using the DSLR's LiveView and the 10x zoom to manually focus, easier with the camera mounted to a tripod so you can concentrate on adjusting the lens without having to hold / support the camera. Does the adapter allow you to focus with the lens aperture stepped down? That is, if you want a composition at say f/5.6, can you set that aperture on the lens and will the camera meter properly for this exposure? If you have to focus and shoot wide open, many of these FD lenses will not seem as 'sharp' as they could be stepped down from wide open.
In reality, the FD lenses are much, much easier to use on a mirrorless body, with IBIS support and the EVF to focus peek to 10x with the camera held to your eye rather than via the backside LCD display.

I use this method allot when using my 55- 250 telephoto lens. I find it better then the AF, if there is any haze in the air.
I Asked the plug-in in question to Skylum. They responded that Lunimar 4.x would not use Luminar AI as a plug-in at this time. Same answer AI as a plug-in for 4.x.
I assume not at this time means, not with December release and they have not decided on future releases.
I pre ordered. Hoping to change my editing workflow. If Luminar AI can do a B+ job on my full set of images, then I can better decide which ones from the set will be worth my time to do a full post processing edit on.
Just a quick point. When asking a question like this, folks here may be better able to help if we knew; A) Mac or Windows B) Stand alone program of as an Plug-in for LR, PS, etc. C) How much RAM you got
I use Luminar. I like editing. But you can can tag photos. When you set rating in is part of Luminar catalog. It would be nice if tags and rating were imbedded into export JPGs. I use MS Photo Gallery for keeping track of my photo, even though it is no longer supported.
Use a RAID device. It has two hard drives that backup each other. If one goes bad, you will get a failure message, then you and replace the damaged drive.
