How do you drag the shutter (or get that effect) in live view? I think I prefer photo #3.

1. When you are reviewing the live view photo you just took, there will be a drop down line on the upper left that has the live view symbol followed by LIVE V.
2. Click on the down arrow. Choose Long Exposure. The photo will change to a long exposure photo. You can also choose Loop or Bounce if you want.

This should work on your iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I took these photos this morning at Freeman’s Mill Park in Georgia. I used my recently purchased iPhone 15 ProMax after trading in an iPhone 12 Mini.

I used the Even Longer App for all photos except for photo #3. That was taken with the phone’s live view mode(long exposure).

My wife are planning on a fall trip to the Finger Lakes and Adirondack. We are planning around first couple of weeks of October.
We are thinking of Watkins Glen, Letchworth St park. Suggestions on other must stops and maybe some helpful suggestions on lodging. We are not campers, being in our mid 70s. thanks

I will add Robert H. Treman State Park, 105 Enfield Falls Rd., Ithaca, NY. I did a trip to this area a few years ago. This park was well worth a visit.

I love when it snows in Prescott. It can be a pain to hike into the park because they are closed when it snows, but the bonus is having the park to yourself for a few hours.
The first shot was from this past Thursday morning before sunrise at the side entrance to Goldwater Lake. The next seven shots are from Sunday at Upper Goldwater Lake, and the last two are from Willow lake last year.

Very well done!….interesting and varied set….I can almost feel the chill of the weather.

I’ve not posted here before, so am not sure this is an appropriate post for this forum. Would like to get any feedback, suggestions re the photo.

Welcome to the forum! I like the basic simplicity of this photo….and the way the dark and light colors of the framing nicely add to the way the photo looks…a winning photo for me.

Well friends,

This is going to be it from me for awhile. I still have many photos of many places that I would like to share, but I'm beginning to lack the enthusiasm it requires to continue to do this. What started off as something joyous for me, has slowly degenerated into being a kind of chore.

So I'm taking a bit of a break, and will return when the Muse Clio calls me to do so. There are various reasons for why I feel as I do, but I'm not going to go into them here.

I will continue to be a Hogger, and will check all of you out and, occasionally, even comment, but no posting. As 2024 begins, I wish all of you a very good year, and I thank those who have shown an interest in my work from the bottom of my heart for your always generous comments and interesting questions.

All the best,
Mel

My 3 year old grandson and I spotted this barred owl Friday afternoon. It gave its position away with a loud hoot as we were walking on a path through an area with plenty of cover.

We went back home and I grabbed my camera and luckily it was still there when I returned a few minutes later.

This is the first time I saw one in the wild.

Beautiful photo!….We used to live in Wellington.

The Chapel of the Holy Prophet Elias was completed in the summer of 2008.

"High above the tree-lined road that leads to St. Anthony’s Monastery stands this blue and white domed chapel, reminiscent of the architecture of the Greek islands. Entrance into this chapel is not permitted to the general public."

A dear friend of ours told us about the Monastery and so from Sun Lakes, we drove to Florence to discover this desert oasis. It is remarkable as to what they have accomplished since the project started in 1995.

Do you think it is possible to attract younger members to UHH? Or is that a hopeless cause? What would it take?

I just checked on some numbers….UHH Main Photography Subscribers=109,899. UHH Smartphone Subscribers=669. It seems that many members on this site view smartphones like a foreign language that they have no interest in learning.

6 years later, it is no longer the largest. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Robbinsville, NJ is second only to Angkor Wat. It was dedicated spring 2023 and open to the public.

Thank you for posting these photos. They do indeed showcase a very impressive structure.
