I would choose Kenya Tanzania or Botswana You will see the"big five" plus many more in any of these countries. You can easily visit both Kenya and Tanzania in one trip. With Botswana you can easily work in Victoria Falls which is well worth it if you are in that part of the world.
The Canon Pro 100 is excellent and cheap with the rebate.Be sure you don't throw the box away as there is a area on the box that you have to send in to get the rebate. I use T-Surplus inks #42 which are about $20 for a set of 8. I find no difference from Canon inks. Most of my prints are 19x13. How well the prints will hold up over time I don't know.
I have a canon pro 100 which is about $ 200 after rebate. They screw you on the ink. However I have used T surplus ink ( a set of 8 cartridges is $22 instead of over $100 for Canon inks) and I can tell no difference.
Be very careful. I recently got ripped off by a fraudulent buyer who appeared legit making it appear that he had sent the funds. I foolishly sent a Canon 5D mark 3 camera only to find out that ebay had not received payment. Be sure you get a notification from ebay that they have the funds before sending the goods. The reverse I'm sure is also the case. Make sure you are dealing only with ebay and not the seller directly.
If after cleaning a nozzle remains clogged, you can unclog by using windex. Remove all the inks and then remove the print head. Put a drop of windex on the clogged head and it will unclog it. I have used T surplus inks for some time and can tell no difference from Canon inks. The cost for a set of 8 is $21!
The 18-300 is all you need. I was there in July and the river was high creating a lot of mist. You will get wet, so be prepared. Take the helicopter ride if budget allows.
