Wonderful set of images Dennis. Which cuckoo clock did you buy?

Don

Thanks Don. Since we already had two cuckoo clocks, we bought a glass domed clock. We had it shipped home and it made it fine.

I'm pricing tickets now. All that chocolate!!!!!

It's hard to beat Swiss chocolate, but I'm anxious to get to Belgium in the future to see how real Belgian chocolate compares.

Over forty-years ago, when I was in the Black Forest German friends of mine told me that the Black Forest was literally dead. It didn't look like it to me but they insisted that acid rain had doomed it. Thanks for showing me they were wrong with such beautiful photos.

Thank you Avi and I'm glad your friend was wrong.

Great series, Dennis, thanks for the tour, really liked the clock works and the wooden bike.

Thanks Earnest, it was a great way to spend the morning. As you will see, we also had a great afternoon in France as well. Glad to have you along.

Thanks Jim, it was a great place to visit. Exquisite is a good description of the bicycle, an amazing (and functional) piece of woodworking.

Best boat trip we’ve taken(circa 2011)
Hopefully the weather improved…
Thanks

You're welcome Tom, I hope my photos brought back fond memories. The weather did improve, as you will see in my future posts. We did get some light rain at different points, but overall had great weather, especially in the Middle Rhine portion of the cruise. This was our first river cruise and we'll probably do a few more; we've done two ocean cruises (both two weeks) and enjoyed them a lot too. We wanted to stay longer in some places, but that's the trade-off doing a cruise where you just get a snapshot of each place. We spent a month last year driving around Italy and stayed longer in each place, typically 3 nights, which allowed us to get more of a "sense of each place." Our next couple of trips to Europe will probably be via rental car.

I just posted another set at https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-806262-1.html
