It was lightly raining last Sunday so I decided to go up to the Self Realization Fellowship Garden in Encinitas CA for some fun in the rain. I love the way the water gives that extra punch to the colors and the lack of shadows offers a clean image.
After a tiring day, a commuter settled down in his seat and closed his eyes.
As the plane proceeded to take off, a woman sitting next to him pulled out her Mobile phone.
She started talking in a loud voice: "Hi sweetheart. It's Sue. I'm on the plane". "Yes, I know it's the six thirty and not four thirty, but I had a long meeting. No honey, not with that Kevin from the accounting office. It was with the boss. No sweetheart, you are the only one in my life. Yes, I'm sure, cross my heart!"
Fifteen minutes later, she was still talking loudly. When the man sitting next to her had enough, he leaned over and said into the phone, "Sue, hang up the phone and come back to bed."
Sue doesn't use her mobile phone in public any longer.

These are gorgeous. well done
I love 'em. The story of the Angel Gabriel was a great story. Finally someone who has everything they need. His Fountain Head series is excellent.
Beautiful, What a wonderful place you live in. Thank you
I looked at your blog and flicker stream what a great bunch of photos of a wonderful adventure. thanks for sharing

Did you try to bring out detail in the dark areas?
As you can tell this is backlit and I shot for the transparency of the petals, I brought out as much detail in the dark areas as I felt represented what I saw and what looked natural. I could have gone much farther with the luminosity masks but it didn't look right.
