This was taken at the Self-Realization Fellowship garden in Encinitas CA last Saturday. I have been experimenting with luminosity masks. I first did the HDR in Photomatix Pro after some preliminary work in LR5 then I went to PS6 and used the Luminosity mask action provided free from Greg Benz Photography. As you can tell this is backlit and I shot for the transparency of the petals, I brought out as much detail in the dark areas as I felt represented what I saw and what looked natural. I could have gone much farther with the luminosity masks but it didn't look right.

nice touch...brings out the shawdows real nice and the colors come along with in
