And nice pictures they are.
Jaymatt, thank you. I'm sending WARM thoughts your way. Stay Safe.
I lived in Indy for 10 years and remember the winters, not too fondly.

Nice ones Michael...stunning coastline.
Hey Doddy, thanks for looking. It
is stunning and my wife and I enjoy visiting northern CA from our home near Los Angeles.
I was in London last month, working at Abbey Road - for my money the best recording studio on the planet. Not many pictures, unfortunately.
More pictures from our August trip to Carmel/Big Sur area. A beautiful part of our great country and our favorite part!
Outstanding - thanks for getting the shot and sharing!

Nice. I want one.
I'm hard pressed to pick the "one" I'd want. The ones with the souped up original engines are very familiar feeling, but the ones with the big "modern" motors sure look like fun! Some of those had disc brake upgrades too - now there's a good idea!

Looks like a great day for all. Thanks for sharing.
It was a fun day! This place is in the Santa Clarita area north of L.A. and is rural, horse country, so it is an ideal place to get the hot rods together.
I'll try to find out the years of the cars - the one with 29 on the radiator and the 'vette engine is a 1929 body, but that's the only one I know.
Specs: FTDX3000, oh wait - that's a radio, isn't it? I was traveling light with my D3300 and kit lens 18-55, leaving one hand free for the wine glass. All were ISO 200, between f4.5 and f8 (most f7.1), shutter 1/40 - 1/125 with an occasional flash. It was a fun day
Thanks for the contact and the comments!

I went to a ham radio buddy's house warming and he had invited some of his car club friends. It was a toasty day here in California and most of the cars were in the shade. Brings back memories! My friend specializes in modifying the original blocks of the early flat head Ford engines. The flat earth, er, I mean flat head society. One of his mods of the 4 cylinder engine puts out 260 hp compared to the original design of 40!
This was my first serious outing with my 55-300 Nikkor and these are 300 mm, ISO 400 f/10, aperture priority, shutter from 1/800-1/2500. Pigeons are not my favorite subject, but the gulls are nice.

Beautiful shots. Some great tasting wines come from the Russian River Valley.
Totally agree about the valley! We drink white wine, almost exclusively, and also enjoy the La Crema Chardonnay, but it seems it was more full bodied 15 years ago. We discovered Ferrari-Carano when we could buy the Chardonnay for $15 in a restaurant. Ahh, the good ole days.
Cheers!
