I went to a ham radio buddy's house warming and he had invited some of his car club friends. It was a toasty day here in California and most of the cars were in the shade. Brings back memories! My friend specializes in modifying the original blocks of the early flat head Ford engines. The flat earth, er, I mean flat head society. One of his mods of the 4 cylinder engine puts out 260 hp compared to the original design of 40!
OKAY, Michael in the valley, two of us have common interests. Ham radio, old cars, and photography. KB5TTS, 31 Model A Vicky, and photography.
Beautiful pics of the cars. What year?
What about your photos... technical aspects that is.
I'll try to find out the years of the cars - the one with 29 on the radiator and the 'vette engine is a 1929 body, but that's the only one I know.
Specs: FTDX3000, oh wait - that's a radio, isn't it? I was traveling light with my D3300 and kit lens 18-55, leaving one hand free for the wine glass. All were ISO 200, between f4.5 and f8 (most f7.1), shutter 1/40 - 1/125 with an occasional flash. It was a fun day

It was a fun day! This place is in the Santa Clarita area north of L.A. and is rural, horse country, so it is an ideal place to get the hot rods together.

Nice. I want one.
I'm hard pressed to pick the "one" I'd want. The ones with the souped up original engines are very familiar feeling, but the ones with the big "modern" motors sure look like fun! Some of those had disc brake upgrades too - now there's a good idea!
Very good series Michael.

Memories of when we could actually work on our own car!
