Wonder why anyone would mpl a Pro-100 for documents??

Agree 100%! Get a simple all in one laser jet like HP M29w. Small foot print, the scanner function comes in handy.

I use aeropress myself. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

My guess from looking at the Fujifilm professional data guide page 79 is that the "135" is the emulsion number which can be 101 to 999.

While I do not own a 4/3 camera, I have enjoyed the insights of David Thorpe through his blog and youtube videos. A retired professional photographer who has a extensive knowledge base has chosen 4/3 as his digital camera system. I wouldn't be too worried about the format's future. (I might be one of those people who has watched too much PBS TV and is now a sucker for an English accent regarding authority)

If I were to venture into the world of ULF, I would give X-ray film a try. Not the same as panchromatic film, but results I've seen on line are kind of similar esp. with some digital manipulation. The price of even 8X10 conventional film makes me swallow hard these days, if I ever drag my 'dorff out again it would probably be X-ray film being used. I wouldn't wait too long though - digital has started to take over that world also.

It is a nice size, and the mechanical parts are great. It accepts motors, youcan change the focusing prism, and use a waist level finder. All good.
But, it basically shuts down when the battery wears out. Shutter only works at one speed. It is difficult to focus compared to other Nikon or Leica SLRs. Because it is so difficult to see the information in the viewfinder it is difficult to use the camera in metered manual mode. It won’t accept flash without a clumsy adaptor.
I own 2 of these and have had several through the years. As aternitive, checkout Nikon FM2 or a Lecia R4 or R5. Just as well made and reliable

Both of the Leicas you mention will also "shut down" without battery. Maybe you are thinking of the R6 models.

Am I the first to ask "Which lens?" you will be using? Might be a factor as to how much will appear to be in focus with the lens set at infinity...

Your take from that article is that the photos were "staged"? I think there is a difference between "working the scene" and something being "staged".

Four or five years ago, I bought a refurb Nikon D3200 with kit lens from Beach. It was offered through ebay, which made me feel safer regarding the deal. I don't think I would have bought from them directly, as I recognized the company as one of the less stellar one's from pre-internet Modern or Popular Photography magazine advertisers.

I use pre AI Nikkors on my D#3200. I installed a split image screen from ebay/China and use the technique from the youtuber below. You don't have to back the lens very far off the locked position and it is still attached rather well - I haven't lost a lens yet. True, no metering and the lens works at set aperture (stopped down). So you "chimp" and see how well you guessed. No cost for the exposure.

As others have said, storage should not be a problem with numerous options like thumb drives which are very compact (maybe too small!). My concern would be what do you mean by "field"? Power might be more of a concern if you mean away from a car with a power converter to keep everything humming.

Just to throw in a word or two that might be implied above - Patience! Many good photographs through the years have involved seeing something before it exists - previsualization if you will - and then having the patience to wait. Now if I can just follow this advice myself!

You might be remembering the Contax RTS III, which had a vacuum back along with a ceramic pressure plate.
