One thing I’ve noticed while uploading to UHH is how long it takes. Initially I often thought I had done something wrong but soon learnt to just sit back and wait. While my internet connections download speed is acceptable 17Mbps my upload speed can be as low as 0.8 Mbps.
Just a thought.

One thing nobody talked about is what do to when you copy/move files that are proprietary RAW files that have been edited in any RAW software.
You HAVE to make sure you also copy the .xmp sidecar files, or any of your corrections you've done in LR, PS or any other software. If you don't, all of your corrections won't show up on those RAW's when you go into those moved/copied files. They will again look like they did straight out of the camera/camera card.
The reason is because any RAW file from all of the different manufacturers don't allow you to 'bake' those files into their proprietary RAW format. If you import into LR as DNG files, any changes ARE baked into the DNG file and there are no .xmp sidecar files to worry about later.
I haven't used my .CR2 files in years and immediately import my cards into LR. As they are imported, they are automatically converted to the universal DNG format. You can also choose in LR to Keep and have never worried about forgetting to make sure I've grabbed the .xmp files. There's a bit to know about .xmp files, so here's a link.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sidecar_fileThe link below will give you more info about using LR and converting to DNG. I agree with 95% of this video. Since I don't have anything other than Canon, I don't have to worry about importing Sony files. This video is almost 2 yrs old, so Adobe may have addressed some of the issues he's talked about.

I’ve just moved the majority of my picture files (mostly raw) from my hard drive to an external drive and did not encounter this issue. Being a “non technical” 65 year old I was a bit nervous about the move so did it in small steps checking that all was well as I progressed. It took quite a few hours although I’m sure the confident computer buffs could complete it a lot quicker.
The process I followed was:
Mirrored my pictures folder on the external drive.
Copied and paste each subfolder to the external drive (mostly raw files)
Pointed the Lightroom folder to the new location
Opened edited pictures in lightroom to check that edits were still there.
Deleted files from internal drive.
Sorry if I’ve misunderstood your post but I did not appear to have any issues with losing edits in lightroom.

Looking to buy a system to do water drop photography. Looking for suggestions on what system to buy? Has anyone had any experience with any of the systems and do you find any system better than another? Thanks.
I’ve used “SplashArt” with some success.
