Trying to see if this works. Appending the original post with a few more shots. We'll see if it takes and thanks to all for viewing and your comments.
Thanks to all for looking and your comments. I'm going to try and append the original post with a few more shots if I can figure it out.
Again, thanks for all the comments.
Thanks much. And yes, I absolutely love this lens
Yep.... that is pretty sweet cam.79
Thanks for looking and the comment ballsafire
It was a hot and humid weekend for this years annual car show but well worth the effort to visit. My first time to this event, but it won't be my last. All shots hand held w/Canon 60D and Tamron 10 - 24 zoom
Thanks for the comments/looking. Just to fill in the blanks, here's a down load (and a couple other shots) of the mamatus
really like the first one. Nice job
Indeed, oft times the overlooked/common scenes are the ones that connect.
Some shots from the eastern plains of Colorado, a vast area of wheat fields, small (or micro) towns and miles between houses, neighbors. "Flyover country" to many but the heartland to those who live, visit or travel through the area.

Get the EZ66 Guide to Route 66. It is in the 4th edition I believe. GREAT spiral bound guide that has detailed maps of all rte. 66 alignments, directions through towns and to various points of interest and even some fun "scavenger hunt" games. I've done the Mother Road several times and still reply on my older guides to plot and drive my course (and some targeted photo-ops).
Two weeks is a good timeframe to do the trip. try to stay at the renovated motor courts along your journey as it all adds to the adventure.
ENJOY!
Thank you all for your comments and critiques. Storms and storm spotting have always been an interest of mine. And these shots (especially #1) hold a particular soft-spot in my heart, as it was taken on one of my wife's farm/ranch properties that I always felt was a "perfect spot" to capture "perfect storm" visuals. And this storm really does tell the story as I feel/imagined it. Thanks again for viewing and your comments.
Caught some severe storms on the high plains today. Great colors in the clouds, nice outflows, high winds and unfortunately hail on nearby farms. Some tornadic activity, but not at this location near the Kansas/Colorado border. Hope you enjoy the ride... I sure did

And yes, these are the actual colors.... you've perhaps heard of the greenish hues to hail and tornadic clouds?
