Did anyone ever share with you how long those houses last? Those appear to be maybe hundreds of years old, but how to tell? My guess is that rain is rare in those parts of the desert so they likely don't turn to mud, but do they wear away from the blowing sand? Different cultures can be so interesting!

Don't recall the specific link, but it was to the effect that TEMU is owned and operated by CCP and everything you do with them goes into their data base for whatever use now or in the future they want. Consider: companies sell products to make a profit. These prices are too low to make a profit, rather they are designed to get information on us, the users. I will not use TEMU and recommend the same to everyone with whom the subject comes up. Don't know about the other site but suspect that CCP won't be happy with just a single way to get info on us, hence other sites pop up using essentially the same format. If contributing to the security of this country is important, users might consider paying more (for a better product) and let the CCP get info elsewhere.

Another sad instance of a really good person leaving us way too soon and under such difficult circumstances. If we had an entertainment industry full of Annettes today instead of (fill in your choice here), the country would be a better place, IMHO.

The subject of the exercise is very lovely young lady embarking on an honorable and necessary career serving others. She seems to be of no need of improvement at all. As for the pictures with all the background clutter: if you or someone you can trust has or can get PS they can be greatly improved. A bit more light on the faces, less in the background, etc. It is a good start and with a bit of work will provide her with images she can show her kids and grandkids years into the future.

I think brightening the whole image a bit, say 10%, might make it more pleasing to the eye. I happen to like black and white quite a bit, and think that many color images work well in the transition. But we each have an opinion and one person's is normally just as valid as another's. Ergo, do that you like best and enjoy the trip!

My opinion is that the Lower Falls is one of the most beautiful places I have encountered in my travels around the world in the past 81 years. Most especially, I have enjoyed the emerald green water flowing over the protruding rock opposite the viewing platform. However, it appears from recent images that said rock may have fallen at some point. Has anyone noticed it as well, or has anyone published something official? Or am I just imagining?

It would be most interesting to learn when the rockslide in number three took place. So much to see, so little time!

Thanks to all who have responded. I had tried all the solutions mentioned before asking for assistance, with the exception of putting a border on the image. I will do that. Also, in LR I have gone over and over the print instructions and found that, on the right size under "Layers" the cell size seems stuck on 11 x 8.5. It just won't go to the size I am looking for. I plan to try other sizes to see what develops. As an aside, I have been using these apps for years without problems, so I don't consider myself exactly a novice. I suspect a reload might be in order and will try that. For general information to any who may be interested, if and when I get the solution I will post it here. Thanks again to all who are trying hard to help out. That is why UHH is such a great place to seek advise, and I for one really appreciate such an attitude in an age where half the world seems to dislike the other half.

I am trying to print the image shown (on 13 x 19 paper) at size of 9 x 19. After hours of banging my head on the desk and trying both LR and PS, I am only seeing a print of 4 x something (I stopped the printing as soon as I could see it wasn't the right size). I have gone through all the sequences I can think of and results are the same.

The XK-150, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful automobiles ever built. Good design never gets old; I currently own a near-perfect 1999 XJR in Spindrift White, and it gets comments whenever I take it out despite being 24 model years old. When Ford and Jag joined forces in the 1990s they both got benefits - the Ford learned about speed and the Jags learned about building things that don't fall apart. Another 150 look-alike would be a wonderful thing to see and hopefully to own.

If the electric car community can solve the problems of range, recharge time and price (notably when it is time to replace batteries) they would be on the home stretch. As the developers get more units on the road those issues will improve as occurs in other industries. Any of us would enjoy the quick response the cars are reputed to have, plus the neat tech stuff and extra room. There is certainly nothing undesirable about those, but there are still those three problems (range, time, price) remaining in front of us all. As for me, such a car will have to wait for improvements before I put my signature on the line.

I see myself as a basically apolitical person. With that in mind, I have a couple of observations developing over the past few years: the left's on-going case of TDS seems to grow with time. Over and over and over and over we get to hear the same anti-Trump case being put forth. No new information, just the same thing repeated ad nausium. On the other hand, and while that is going on primarily about the whining by Trump, we get to hear and see so many sound bites of Hillary explaining why she actually won and the whole world is against poor little her, etc., etc. Any chance this country will settle down and begin to address the problems we actually have? Inflation, immigration, crime, etc. They all could use a good dose of common sense, IMHO. And while that is going on, maybe the Hoggers would enjoy things pertaining more to photography and related subjects and a bit less on the political side. There are plenty of places to vent your political opinion - why not use them?

Thanks very much for your reply; there was no intent to avoid the proper name for the location - we simply hear it referred to by the term so often that it sorta comes naturally. I probably should have used "Jerusalem" instead! Anyway, thanks for the information you offered. There is such an abundance of history - two weeks would likely not be enough but there is only so much time available. Having lived in other countries on several occasions I am aware that one cannot really get the "flavor" of a place in such a short time; we will have to make do with what we have. We look forward to seeing a bit of Israel, which is such an important place to so many, many people. Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply; there is nothing like the voice of experience to obtain knowledge.
