Yes, true. There is a lot of crime especially in Guatemala City. But out side in the country is not that much bad. Thank you for your response.

I was in Guatemala in July 2017. I visited Guatemala City, Antigua, Lake Atitlan and Tikal Reserves. I enjoyed my trip especially Antigua, Lake Atitlan and Tikal. Guatemala City is great but with precaution about safety. I have attached some pictures of my trip.

I am planning to travel to Guatemala on July, it is my first time. Can someone advise me which places to visit, and the general information. I have nikon d7100 with sigma 18-250, tamron 10-24 and Nikon 35mm.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks

I was there last summer. It is a beautiful journey and you will enjoy it. In Quito and Cuenca, if you are going to picture the cathedrals (which is a must), you need a low light lens b/c they don't allow you to use flash. Also you will need a wide angle lens for the great panoramas they have. Have a great trip.

I appreciate all your answers. I benefited from all of you. I will practice all modes, even though I like manual mode now. As BebuLamar has said, I don't need to rely on the metering indicator at all times, but only on the given situation. Thanks everybody dearly

Hello everybody I always read and follow your comments and insights and I appreciate it, I have a question about using manual mode. I am still learning on using my DSLR camera. I have Nikon d7100. Depending on the condition of the light when I choose F-stop and minimum ISO, I am relying on the camera indicator for the Shutter speed, (metering) to be at zero, and then shoot photos. The photo is not bad, but do I have to follow that always or there is a better way. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
