I use a Lowepro Transit Sling 250AW which does everything you mentioned but is not too big and very confortable on long hikes...
If you're looking for a really great buy, I found a deal on the Nikon D7000(16MP) at BestBuy for $629 including the AF-S Nikkor 18-140 lens. So far I have been really pleased with this outfit. After viewing some resolution comparisons online between the Nikon 24MP and 16MP images, I saw no great difference between the two and went for the D7000. You can find this deal on the BestBuy website and no, I have no affiliation with them. Considering that this lens costs nearly $500, seems I got the camera for $126!
Google PhotoME and download it free....it tells me the count on my Nikon D7000...it will work for your too!
If you're a "get it in camera" person, then why not stick with film. Otherwise, do as the rest of us do and fully maximize your photography experience by using both. Never could do HDR with film, or focus stacking, or sharpening etc. Photography is an art form...who cares how you got the final results as long as your vision is brought forth. Also, even with extensive darkroom manipulations, very seldom were the results 100% reproduceable but with the digital darkroom, every print can look the same from a particular image.
What's the possibility of getting this action posted so others can download and play too? Nice pic and the corrected one is much improved!
This one originally shot on B&W film then added a hint of color to the flag....
You are wise beyond your years!
I just imported photos from my iphone to LR on a PC by going to File>import photos and video> which brings up the import page where I selected Mikes iphone and all the pics on my phone showed up for selection....easy!
Have you looked on youtube....I find just about antyhing I want to know there....good luck!
Remember a Kodak Brownie using Verichrome Pan in 620 and taking over moms hall closet(no windows)for my darkroom...the good old days!
IF, you know what aperture, shutter speed, DOF, ISO and other terms mean already, THEN study the manual first. If these terms are foreign to you, find a good basic photography book first and become familiar with the mechanics of photography...otherwise the manual will only confuse you.
I've been a "PC" for decades. I love my iphone and ipad but don't appreciate being locked out by Apple. Also, I have too much software that would be useless on a MAC. Someday, if the need arrises, I may get a Mac for my photo work, but, only for that.
There's some cheap teles listed on ebay if you want a bargain price...
So how do I post a pic here?
Shot with Tamron SP500\8 mirror on Gold 1600...I added the flag in PS
Hmmm...I used a Tamron 500/8 mirror on a Nikon F4s many times with excellent results....yes there was a learning curve...but where there's a will....there's a way! Can provide examples to any who are interested.
