I'm not making copies for myself. I was asked to do it by someone else. I don't know the particulars about how this specific book is affected by any copyrite laws. They are sending it to me via postal service. To me, also, it makes more sense to use a scanner, but they insist that photos be taken. Thanks for all your comments. I'll know more once I receive the book and begin the task.
What is the best way to photo pages of a book? What would be the best resolution for a good-quality photo, but one that doesn't create a large file? Any other advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nancy B.
I am about three miles from Costco and get gas for my vehicles there. I rarely shop because of the crowded parking lot. I do, however, when I get my American Express credit slip for accumulated totals once a year. I've found their prices very good. I live alone so it doesn't pay for me to buy in bulk for grocery shopping, but if I have a pot luck supper or something else of that nature, that's where I head. I've never been disappointed in anything I've purchased there.
I, too, have had a number of weird issues with Windows 10. Wish I could get rid of it and go back to 7 or 8.
I love them! This leaves you hand free and you're able to more comfortably carry around camera equipment when wearing a photographer's vest than hand carrying it or backpacking it. Only drawback is weather - they can be extremely warm in the hotter months (be sure to get one with a mesh back) and, of course in the winter unless you're wearing a really light-weight jacket, they're not practical. It is surprising just how much you can carry in one of these.
Good point - I like that!
I had a Westie for 14 years and remained at 18 pounds, give or take an ounce or two. I'm the present dog parent of a terrier-X, who resembles Benji of movie fame to a T. He's gotten overweight even though we walk frequently and a further distance than my Westie and I did. My Westie never gulped his food and usually didn't finish it. I could leave his food bowl and he'd nibble occasionally through the day. Benji gulps his food down like it's his last meal, and sits there looking like he hasn't been fed. I portion out the amount directed on the package, so I think a lot depends, as with people, the metabolism of that particular individual. Some people tend to gain weight, while others just don't. I certainly agree that having a slim trim pet is just as important as being slim and trim oneself.
I've switched between Sony, Nikon and Canon and have yet to have a problem. Maybe I've just been lucky!
Just did a quick check on eBay - got the following - there may be more. Price is $6.85
Gossen Luna Pro S & Lunasix 3 Lightmeters - Battery 1,35 V MRB625 Zinc/Air
I'd suggest to run a check on eBay for a Luna Pro - there should be responses from vendors selling batteries, most likely out of Japan. Up to the present, I've had good luck finding batteries for film cameras and accessories.
A number of years ago, I bought something from 42nd Street Photo and wasn't happy with the transaction - similar to yours. There's a photo store somewhere in Maine whose name escapes me, but they have the same reputation. My favorite NYC photo store was Spiratone - wish they were still around. My favorite lenses came from there. I do like B&H and Adorama. Locally, I'll do Best Buy when their specials are running. And, of course, eBay where I've listed and sold (and also purchased) various photo items over the years.
Yep, just checked - there's two focusing rings available for the Bronica on eBay.
I used a quick focusing ring on mine, and it worked great - if you can find one on maybe eBay?
Thanks for info on AVG - I've used it in the past but wasn't aware of its current reputation. I'll try the software you recommended. I'm still using Norton for my main computer with direct connection to my WiFi, but my secondary computer I thought I'd save some money and go with the free virus software.
