Marge, my dear, long departed English teacher aunt made me a grammar stickler which I cannot shake off at my age of 86. One of her corrections was pronouncing "aunt", not the creature crawling on the ground "ant".

I often correct grammar, but hypersensitive people cannot endure or take a correction with any grace and appreciation. I have been blocked from responding because of "snowflake' mentality that finds any comment on their grammar intolerable. The recent posting in the "Irregardless " post has numerable replies that in themselves are ungrammatical. Please unblock me.

The stark white background make all seem like toy models. No context.

I like it a lot! You got lucky with her charming expression, which accounts for most of the pleasure in seeing this portrait. You might try cropping it a bit. to center her head. There's a little too much darkness above her and to the left. Otherwise, just count your blessings.

I like the slightly off center and drama of the black background. I wouldn't alter anything. Lovely portrait of a beautiful girl.

Do you know the difference between "advise" and "advice"?

Most photographers seem to focus mainly on the equipment and what can be accomplished with it. A expert photographer sees what is eligible for capture and then captures it with what ever equipment is at hand, whether it is a $10 film camera or the most expensive digital from the premier camera makers. The work produced is STILL the
expression of the (artist) photographer, NOT the camera and manipulation.

Very clever!!!!!!!

Very clever, fooled me. I would dearly love to have the real, old Ford truck. I had an old Dodge style side pickup that got rammed about 20 years ago on the Baltimore beltway. It had to be towed to an impound lot and my son said it wasn't worth having it repaired. I sure miss that old girl.

Nice set but would like some fluffy clouds in the pics.

Why the odd (capricious?) fine instead of a round number?
