Hi,
Thanks for the kind words about BosStrap. There are two ways to more quickly release the camera from the BosStrap. Check out the Side Release Conversion kit now available through BosStrap on eBay or purchase a TriggerLok connector and a BosTail (also on BosStrap on eBay). Full product details are still available on BosStrap.com, but ordering is now through eBay.

The tripod socket is not designed to carry loads that result in tension forces (when the camera hangs upside down). Even if no physical damage is evident, hanging a camera by the tripod socket can result in stressing the seals within the body. Strap attachment lugs on the camera are engineered to safely carry the weight of a camera under all normal conditions. This issue is why I created BosStrap Camera Straps. Thanks to all respondents. It is a Kirk Enterprises SS-1 clamp used to carry long lenses and for other purposes. I'll be listing this for sale along with many other photo related items over the next couple of weeks.

As a result of closing BosStrap Camera Straps, I'm selling many items acquired over the years. I came across a Kirk Enterprise clamp (see photo) in my stash of odds and ends but have been unable to locate a description. There is no part number on the clamp. Does anyone know what this is used for? The clamp is Arca-Swiss and it appears to have a square shape Arca-Swiss machined block on the bottom.
Thanks,
Tom Fama
Sorry for the misspelling. Should be Tenba DNA 15.
I like the Temba DNA bags. I use a small DNA 8 for a Sony RX10 when travelling. My go-to bag when not travelling is a medium size DNA 11. I recently purchase a DNA 15, but have not used it. Way too big for my needs (also don't want to carry all the weight). The DNA 15 should carry all your gear and more. The Temba 15 is listed for sale on UHH site. See the ad by searching "Temba DNA 15". Price includes shipping.

Can Sony's Illustration effect be simulated with Elements or Lightroom?
Has anyone converted 8mm film to digital? We have about twenty 5" reels of video (about 200 feet each, I'm told) to convert. Seems like it would be cost effective to buy a machine to do this myself. Anyone with experience on doing this that could recommend equipment, etc please respond.
Thx Tom Fama
I've purchased from KEH. Very Satisfied with the accuracy of the descriptions and price.

Thanks Fotoartist. I do not see a way to edit (add a photo) to the ad. E-mail me and I will send you a photo showing a camera (D500) in front of the bag. info@BosStrap.com
