Great engineering. And a nice photo, too. Thanks. I'm always telling myself to look up and down and behind me for possible images.

First, I enjoy it immensely. The very fact that I make photographs tends to make me really see people, places and things. I like capturing moments in time. I like photographers and I find them to be much like golfers in personality. I like the technology within photography, software and computers. When I catch that rare shot I giggle.

I laugh too. Seeing something beautiful in my viewfinder; I smile. Seeing it again when I download it allows me to remember that moment and I smile. Post processing it and finding the photograph within is so satisfying. Sharing it with others is wonderful.

I was stationed at Korat RTAFB 74-75 in the civil engineering squadron. I didn't get to fly much but I always thought that the F4 was a great aircraft. And the men who flew them were tougher. I have a cousin who flew them for the Navy. Unfortunately, I've lost the slides I took while I was over there. But the memories are still mine.

Very nice set. Now I want to go back to Utah. On the old car photo, did you desaturate the sky or was it that grey?

On very bright days, I check the color histogram and I let the overexposed areas blink. I don't check every shot, just the first few.

I do the same thing. With my NEX7 I can also check the viewfinder but with my senior eyes, about all I can verify is my composition.

Although it's further "Down East" (north) than Southern Maine, Acadia National Park is the most beautiful place on earth (just my opinion). Bar Harbor is on the same island, Mt Desert Island.

Using a neutral density filter reduces the amount of light entering the camera so that your camera will, if you set your camera up correctly, require a much longer exposure. The resulting photograph gives a "silky" look to flowing water or an almost "foggy" look to shoreline shots.

I agree. These are some of the best bird photography I've seen in a long time. You're doing wonderful work.

Beautiful aircraft; beautiful photos. My father flew in B-24s in Africa and Europe during WWII. Although they are beautiful machines, we shouldn't forget how many young men died in them during the war.

I had a chance to take a tour of the new building for the Yale University School of Management. Unlike their other campus buildings in the Gothic style, this energy efficient building is very modern. I particularly loved the atrium with colored metal panels by a Dutch artist, Adrian Schiess. They created beautiful reflections and dramatic color.

:-D The sculptor had a great sense of humor. And it's a very nice photo.
