That's exactly what happened to me - tried LR but it didn't work. All good now though because I found that my White Balance had somehow moved out of Auto.
I fixed the problem on my own. I checked everything but WB the other day and just discovered it had somehow moved off of AUTO. All better now.
I'm curious whether any of you Nikon hogs have ever experience (and resolved) a problem with a blue tint abruptly on your images. I was out shooting (Aperture Priority & Raw) Saturday morning, capturing nice images, when suddenly a light blue tint was cast on all my images. Checked my settings but found nothing amiss. It's still happening and I'm scratching my head, even going as far as to Google the problem. Nothing I've read seems to fit. Feedback, please.
Thanks. My friend said that, as well, and added that frustration can abound from time to time.
I've been using LR Cloud for a few years for PP, and sometimes I still use my old standby, Picasa for a tweak or two. A photographer friend has recommended I up my game a little by using a Pen Tablet, specifically the Wacom PTH660. He creates some amazing images using that particular tablet & pen so I'm considering taking the plunge also. I'd appreciate input from my brother & sister Hogs concerning your experiences, pro and con, with this or similar gear.
I freaked too. Plenty to learn with this baby. Thanks again.
It's a brand new camera and it won't format memory cards, neither the XQD card or the SD, both of which are new also. Neither card is locked. In the format menu, I get to the point where I'm prompted by "All images on memory card will be deleted. OK?" The "Yes" option is highlighted blaze orange and when I press it nothing happens. The operator's manual doesn't address this and I can't find answers on YouTube or anywhere else on the net. I hope my camera isn't a dud. Has anyone had the problem?
Those are all good recommendations. Many thanks to everyone.
I recently presented a beginners workshop on photography, stressing only very basic fundamentals such as light, subject and some composition pointers. I'd like to follow-up by sending them some links to very basic editing tools that are free and easy to use for beginners who are most likely to shoot jpg only. Any suggestions? I started editing my photos with Picasa years years ago then transitioned to the more sophisticated (and difficult to learn) Lightroom. It's not for beginners.
Thanks, Gene. Right on target - as usual.
A one-time 2 hour session, Linda. All I intend to do is prepare a 4-5 sheet Power Point hand-out, speak to it for a while, then turn 'em loose into the countryside for about 30 minutes. Then, it'll be critique time. Thanks for your very gracious complement. LP
Any ideas for an easy-to-use (for novices) and free editing tool? I use LR with the old Picasa as a secondary tool (especially for cloning, etc.) but I know there are tons of others out there that I've never investigated because I'm very satisfied with what I have.
