Well I have to say you have provided a great deal of confusing information...I don't recall the specifics of the first post...

A Samsung model G3 is a 27" monitor...so, which Samsung smartphone do you have? I would guess that if you have a newer Samsung phone and it has 5G cell phone service (not WiFi) from your provider that's what you are seeing...or 4G service, but most likely LTE service if there is no 5G where you are located at the time.

The Netgear Orbi is likely a Mesh WiFi setup, hence the much more involved setup routine. If a single WiFi unit is what you currently have been using then the Orbi Mesh unit really isn't something you need. You didn't provide any useful information on what model Netgear you have so I can't comment on exactly which NetGear unit you have.
Well I have to say you have provided a great deal ... (show quote)

Sorry for the detail issues:
1. Smartphone - Samsung Z Flip3 5G
2. WIFI - Orbi 87, Router plus 2 extensions

I have discovered very recently that my Samsung smartphone has at top of screen a "G4" symbol. At first I thought it was the phone's model #, but that is G3. So, It's apparently my wifi "frequency? " While waiting in Dr's, dentist offices for appointments is when I appreciate having some entertainment to pass the time. At those locations the WiFi symbol at top is "G5" and all phone operations work fine. At home, no connections work. I don't think WIFI signal strength is the issue as both my IPad and Samsung tablets show a full strength signal reception. Have I found the smoking gun or is the problem not related? I mentioned in my earlier post that I bought a current model Netgear Orbi 3 piece set, but decided to delay installation until I find out if the older model is the problem, as setting up new model appears much more involved than was the old one.

Then why does Hawaii have Interstate Highways? 😂

I can answer that one: politics. Hawaiian pols lobbied to get a fair share of feds interstate highway funds. I have driven on a couple of them. Made driving from leeward side (Honolulu , Waikiki) to North shore a brease compared to the old two lane roads. There is also one which makes driving from Honolulu Airport to Waikiki much quicker than the downtown route.
Here in Maryland we have an interstate that connects our capital, Annapolis, with Baltimore. It does not cross over any state line. I mentioned politics but within that arena lies funding and convenience issues. In other words, the original program has been modified somewhat to allow funding to solve real or perceived highway problems. Also in Maryland Baltimore has a beltway (interstate 695 ) that is totally located within the state. But it does connect to an interstate that runs into Pennsylvania. My guess is Maryland is not the only state on the continent that has an interstate that does not cross over state lines

I am a little confused by the above. Data is usually transferred between storage media. I do not see how the storage format on one device is related to the storage format on the other device?

My two audio recorder/player decks states in owners manuals that USB drives must be fat32 formatted. For reference, I have a Brennan B3 and a Denon 3000R-MarkII. I am not technically advanced to understand the reasons for that specification. I just try to follow directions, which challenges me at times.

Since the arrival of SD Cards, I relegated my USB drives to the back of my pc supply drawer. I was under the opinion that USB drives were nearing the dinosaur status. For curiosity I went to B&H website and searched SanDisk USB drives. To my surprise were listed a number of USB SSDs having up to 2Tb. Not cheap, but they are there. Thus, am I wrong believing USBs are outdated technology? I would expect the SSD version to be faster than the older version. As a curiosity I bought a 1tb version, but have not tried it yet until I figure out how to reformat it to fat32. It comes formatted to xfat. I have a few audio players that will only accept fat32. I read somewhere that fat32's maximum memory capacity is 2tb. Guess xfat is ready for larger capacities.

Trix,
I must have had my head in the sand to request help. My apologies, I never used my cell phone at home and I don't intend on using the smartphone at home either. Use will be for emergencies or needed communications while in car and entertainment while waiting for Dr's appointments, etc. I will delay installing new wifi as long as my tablets and desktop access the internet normally.
Regards

I use my wifi setup to connect internet for email and other web sites. I am using several dated tablets, about 4 or more years old. My Wifi system is an ORBI7 (netgear) which is about same age. My tablets work fine on reception but my new Samsung flip phone, purchased a year ago , cannot connect to the internet. Error message says "server not available". But when I am in public buildings the phone has excellent internet reception. Could it be my Wi-Fi model is too dated to function with my smartphone? I have purchased a new ORBI model, but can't locate similar model # on box. Both old and new models have the router and 2 satellites. I am hesitant to install new model until I know the problem is with the old unit. Geez, the new unit price is double what the older one costs. Any thoughts on my problem will be appreciated.

Am posting this because I have not seen any post inquiring about one of our hog posters who was living in La HAINA. Sorry, I don't remember her forum name. I was stationed in Pearl Harbour many moons ago. While on routine maneuvers around the islands, our ship captain pulled into the Harbour for a one evening liberty. Walking up the pier one could see the front of a hotel . Such a classic view of a village untouched (circa 1961) by commercialization. I had images of Sidney Greenstreet standing in front of the hotel holding his wide brim hat. Sudden memory recall: I think her first name is Joanne.

Perhaps the price you got included shipping. It won't be cheap.

Not sure if I remembered correctly, but could not pre-order thus shipping charge not shown.

Yes, that's it. Price is much lower than I remembered- $199 Au. Could be lower in US $s. Item is still not available, as new model in the works. Estimated shipping is in Aug. The two earlier models have been sold out for some time.
Thanks for the info.

I get a daily news feed on my Apple iPad. Mixed in the list of news articles are frequent ads. One came up a month or two ago advertising what appears to have been an ingeniously designed grocery cart. I was intrigued enough to "buy it now". Well, the product source is Australia. It was rather expensive, but the design appears to suit my aging 80+years. So, hit buy it now. Got a sold out notice with promise of availability coming soon. However, no pre-order function provided. Never could locate the add again nor the name of the cart. Tried Google search using "Australian grocery cart" and/or trolley . Got loads of hits but not the one I want.
This cart has 6 wheels- four on bottom and two on front of basket. Designed to roll basket off of cart into an SUV or station wagon. To close this post without taking more time, I will quit now. My question is....can anyone provide a name for this product? US price was about $399.00.

Adirondack Made - Bye-Bye Blackfly is used by a lot of folks in our camper group and they swear by it - just a little bit on the arms, legs, neck (touch smear - not put on like lotion) works great... I ordered some because on the last camping trip, I got chewed up with them...

Thanks. I wondered if my info was outdated. Just ordered one on ebay. I live about 50 miles north of Assateauge National Wildlife Refuge. Their mosquitoes are quite resistant to the popular repellents. Bye-bye Blackfly should do the trick.

I have not heard about Adirondack noseams. However, we have friends that live close to Syracuse. He is a professional photographer and has many times photographed landscape scenes there. The thing I remember he said was do not go to the Adirondacks during black fly season. If I remember correctly, the season was worse in June. According to him , no insert repellent is effective against black flies. Now, that info may be outdated.
