Actually all can do all you ask for and a whole lot more in imovie? have you looked at that fully? it does it all, granted its a fairly complex thing to start editing photos and videos and adding music and transitions etc.... but you can create amazing things and then burn to dvd's or post to utube etc...

I had 2 d7000's and one was prone to tiny oil spots from something, and if I shot much would need to clean sensor almost monthly. Finally got rid of it and I guess there was a history of that with some 7000's so consider the camera too might be at fault.

Nice test, the thing I wonder most is whether I should use the second card as a true duplicate as you are doing or shoot with one recording raw and one recording jpg? I mostly shoot one raw and jpg for the usefulness and step saving that provides?

it was just an photo club assignment and I guess I think they are thinking some of the photos of something abstract or such, or maybe like when you take a closeup portrait or water drop and can see the reflected image of something else in the eyes or water drop? Not sure I'll find out I guess on tuesday night what others have done with the idea.

Ok so I though it was more interesting than just taking and inserting another image into another image? I thought it was meant to capture in one image the "design within image" rather than photoshoping it in? Ok different mindset for that.

I am having a hard time getting a picture of what people are wanting if they say take a picture of something with a "design within a image" does anyone have an example or two that could be posted to help me understand that?

thanks, Greg

Yes I know you are right, I think I will simply order one up. It sure does get high marks and for low price and fairly versatile too. I'd like to use for portraits and then also some of the really nice macro I've seen too!

thanks

My perception is that the GoPro was developed for people doing exciting things to strap the camera to their body or helmet. Seeing as I no longer do exciting things, when I see one in the store, I just sigh and walk on.

How about strapping it to the grand kid let them run into walls and stuff? or wear it yourself while blowing snow out of the driveway :) the sky's full of ideas!

heys here's another vote for the JVC camera - I shot a couple of hours of video of duck and goose hunting and very happy with results I have been editing my footage lately to get a youtube video done and posted.
Next year I will mount it on the dog for the "dog eye view" of fetching ducks and geese, should be fun

Ok so the focal length stays the same it's just that it appears as if it were a longer focal length when used on cropped sized sensor? It's odd I thought maybe the lens made for a cropped sensor would have taken that into account somehow in making that lens, but I guess not - it's due to the camera rather the lens.

Ok on a nikon C sized sensor with say a DX kit lens, is a 17-55mm that size or equivalent to a larger focal size? Or does the 1.6x factor only apply to when I use a non DX lens? Like the vast array of older lens which were made for full frame or film cameras?
