Thanks to everybody for replying.
In my case the camera was advertised as NEW, USA, with USA Canon warranty, however it came w/o warranty card. The seller is NOT Authorized Canon seller.

NOT An Authorized Dealer, is a key indicator to buy elsewhere.

thank you. Once i get that done then I will check out the videos on backing up. thanks so much for the link!!

It is not about how to back up. It is Adobe telling you how to move your files from your computer to a portable USB drive. Its a very important process you should watch BEFORE you start mucking about moving files.

Lightroom is a very sensitive database program that requires you to move everything having to with Lightroom, while you are working inside of Lightroom. If you dont, you are going to cause some hilarious problems.

Fit the newer Nikon bodies? A friend of mine has an older M90 with a 50mm lens. Is there any interest in these older cameras? All my equipment is Canon.

What you have is a Nikon EM film body with a E Series 50mm Lens. It will fit on any Digital Nikon body but with some limitations.

On all entry level, It will not meter.

On all Mid level bodies (D7000, D7100, D90, D80, D70, D300, D200, D100) It will meter and try to focus confirm (its hit and miss depending on which of the above cameras is used).

Pro bodies it will meter and give you a focus confirm dot as well.

There is a demand for them but its not like winning the lottery. You may get better value trading that in to B&H or Adorama towards something new or you can sell it for a few bux. Ebay and KEH are both great places to compare prices. A few have sold locally for about 40-100bux depending on condition and included accessories.

The 50mm E is a good lens. I see them getting bought for people who want to have an inexpensive good lens to adapt to their Mirrorless cameras.

DO NOT move your folders OUTSIDE of lightroom. Move them inside of Lightroom. A video to explain how and why.

The Canon M is going away. Canon and Nikon are playing catch up to the mirrorless marketplace. The M didnt perform well in the USA where Panasonic, Olympus and Fuji both have a foothold.

It is a shame too. I played with an M a friend got for 200bux firesale at the local shop with 20mm lens. Its very nice. Shame that Canon seems to want to be quiet in the mirrorless game, at least here in the USA.

Well some people like that melty chemical cheese. Little known fact: you can put a wick in velveeta and turn it into a candle.

Serious question:

What is it exactly about RAW that one needs that cannot be done utilizing skill and proper camera operations? What about the Zone system, using different metering methods, using EV adjustments or just stopping down for the desired exposure instead of relying solely on a file format?

Do you use RAW as a crutch to ignore proper technique? Do you use RAW because everyone told you to? Do you need to push or pull your light that much for a desired effect that you couldnt do by dropping or upping your exposures values in camera?

I see a lot of technical reasons not to use JPG but few that are real world reasons.

I find that in my experiences, when getting the intended exposure right, i rarely need to move sliders around in Lightroom.

What the hell is Velveeta???

Its what makes the superbowl party. Its fake "cheese". The Superbowl is what our american handegg football players call, a championship game. Like your EPL final but with a handegg.

I'll have to switch to REAL cheese now instead of the "processed cheese food". The shortage is due to an unavailable supply of a prime ingredient polyethylene glycol due to the Artic Vortex.

I am pretty sure this is due to Obama giving money to extend NASA and the ISS operation to 2024. Money that could go to our troops and boarder patrols.

Feels like this is forced too much. The scene was already bland and no amount of PP will fix that. Go back and re-shoot it, except think about different angles and light.

Tighter crop would have been more beneficial than the wide one you elected. Dont crop in post, crop by moving closer or using a zoom lens to pull it towards you.

The car seat kills this image and removes focus from what you wanted us to look at.
