(For the photo buffs: Canon T4i, Canon 70-200 f4L at 200 mm, f5, ISO 800, 1/400 sec. shooting through a double pane patio window, and cropped in Photoshop using Perfect Resize 9 to approximately a 550 mm equivalent. Second photo 1/200 sec, f9)
I don't know what Photomatix is but the results are nice. The pink has more a purple shade in it.
Thank you so much.
:) :) :)
In a simple form Photomatix is primarily an HDR (High dynamic range software) where by one would shoot multiple images of the same scene at different exposures (usually at least 3, 1 under exposed by 2 stops, one normal, and one overexposed by 2 stop). It would then combine them together, compressing the tonal range, bringing out the detail in the shadows and highlights. However one can use it on single photos for many effects as well.
A local pub was sponsoring a family friendly Toys for Tots benefit on Sunday p.m. with 6 bands providing the entertainment. I was alternating shooting w/o flash for band shots & w/flash for some candids around the room. I caught this little girl with Santa & noticed my flash was off. I was ready to toss it but the expression was priceless & was wondering if it is in anyway salvageable?
As Turkey is in the news lately, here's an image (taken in the blue hour) of Istanbul. A brisk rain shower had just blown through. The Turkish delight I was chewing on was delicious. Have at it in any way you want.
First through Adobe Camera Raw and then Photomatix
Here's the little Foto store tucked away in the alley. Note the thumbs up logo, maybe the owner is a UHH member. Have at it in any way you want. No processing done by me other than creating jpg from RAW. A RAW file (RW2) also available for those determined to get serious. Here's a chance to show your skill at disguising those burnt out areas.
A little daytime moon shot with a smart photo editor mod.
