Warm Welcome to The Hedge Hog.

Nice Photos Been to Mt several times myself and will be in Missoula at the end of the month for a short visit.

Love Flathead Lake and all the parks around that area.

Looking for a few local parks in Missoula for some Buffalo & bird shoots. Only have a few days so I must make the most of my time there.

Your photos are really nice. I shoot with a 7D 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM & 300mm f/4.0L IS USM Prime.

Looking forward to seeing more of your photos.

Thanks for your share.
Warm Welcome to The Hedge Hog. br br Nice Photos ... (show quote)

Thank you for the comments. Shooting buffalo in Missoula, you must be going to the national bison range in Moise about an hour away. Been there and going back again this year.

Two very excellent shots...Bigsky, welcome to the hog. You wont have very much problem learning the basics of your camera. You are there already. So, have fun here, make some friends, ask some questions and post more pictures. You have a good eye.
Rich

Thank you Rich. I did buy David Busch's book on the 7D. One almost has to shoot every day until it is 2nd nature.

Thanks! The area makes a wonderful subject and hard not to get a "postcard photo".

Thanks MT. I have exposed a number of guests to the Many Glacier area, possibly, much to my detriment as it is getting crowded. While monitoring the site I enjoyed reading and utilizing the expertise you shared.

The pictures were taken end of August. The wish list was generated with the help of the hogs who I have come to find out have no qualms spending other people's dollars. yellowstone is also a great place and know it since I went to college in Bozeman.

I have monitored the site for sometime until I made the decision to upgrade from point and shoot to DSLR. My gear is a Canon 7D, 70-200mm F4.0 L IS, 15-85mm and a wish list. I appreciate those sharing their expertise and experience to help on more rapidly progress along the learning curve; thank you. As a beginner, the frequent comment to "learn your equipment" and "understand exposure" is definitely sound advice. Hope to progress to where I can be a contributor and not a taker.
Living in NW Montana I consider Glacier National Park and it's one million acres "my backyard" providing many opportunities for shooting landscapes and wildlife. I am posting 2 pictures from inside the park.
