77 has been around for a long time. I've used it at work for 30+ years.
Thank you. 6 years Coast Guard and 7 years Army National Guard.
I have this lens. It's a great lens.
I have had this bag for a few years. Great bag.
Retirement is the best job I ever had.
Your right. I was just stating how far back they were used.
The actually are made in .54 cal.
The Lewis and Clark expedition had a 46 cal air rifle with them.

I have the Tamron 100-500 for my T3i and love it.
Yes it is a gun sight. Great idea. How about a link to the YouTube page.
Use Picassa (it's free.) When you crop they let you set the format for the size photo you want. That's about all I use Picassa for other than a quick adjustment for color/exposure.
The lens came yesterday. I went over to the local park this afternoon and tried it out. Most were taken on a tripod but I did try some hand held at 500mm.
I'm very happy with this lens.
Thanks for all the advise and comments.
Dave
I just bought a Tamron AF 200-500mm f/5.0-6.3 Di LD SP FEC (IF) lens.
Does anyone have any experience with this lens?
I'm going to be using it with a Canon T3i and plan on using it for wildlife photos.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
